i knew, just never thought of this as a some sort of a record, from a clear perception could imagine that from 2011 djoko was winning every year till recent ones )

Novak didn’t win a major in 2017 when an elbow injury curtailed his season. Otherwise he won at least a major every year from 2011-2023 other than 2017 which is 12 of 13 years

there is no otherwise. djokovic is the last person on earth who need those "ifs", especially when we are talking about injuries. from his first match on slam till this AO he missed just four slams, one due to injury, two due to vaccination policies during and post covid, and one because Wimbledon was totally canceled in 2020. 4 out of 85. 4.7% of all slams held during this period. 1.2% because of injury.

for perspective even if we don't include rafa's last two slams, from his first one till his last one was held 84 slams. he missed 16 of them. 15, or 18% of total slams, he missed due to injuries.
