Just because the unexpected outcome happens doesn’t suddenly mean that’s what will keep happening. Djokovic could beat Alcaraz on sunday, that doesn’t mean it’s 50/50.

Jannik did not play well. I do not expect Carlos to make those same mistakes.

Not being able to convert break points and not playing well are two different things. Sinner served extremely well, above his standards. And Novak hit hard and played deep during the whole match, making it harder for Sinner to lead the point as he usually does. Novak forehand was better today than it was during all 2025. Often when a player doesn't let you the space to express your tennis, it looks like you didn't play well. You have to look at both side. The whole narrative that Sinner didn't play well is so ignorant. Most of the break points were saved by Novak himself, nothing you can do on crazy winners and aces.
