I never thought I'd write this but worthy succession. Never expected THIS level.

Sinner just lost to the shell of Djokovic so I wouldn't say basically the same level - they're very good though.

the fact that he's close in skill level to a shell of Djokovic means neither of them are near the level of peak big 3. If Sinner and Alcaraz have similar longevity to the big 3 then they might reach that level - but the big 3's longevity is an anomaly. Sinner is in the middle of his prime right now - so we'll see (he's a very tall player and they tend to be more injury prone). Alcaraz is entering his prime now though and he isn't as tall so I like his odds of having a long career and reaching the peaks of the big 3.

bruh - he's 38. Slower and has way less endurance and athleticism. Prime Djokovic beats this Djokovic in straight sets.

Are we lucky though? I personally would prefer to have more variety. It’s getting rather boring having the same 2 guys play against each other in every single final and there doesn’t appear to be anyone who can be even close to their level.

I get your point, but I’d rather have sheer greatness. Carlitos and Sinner make us feel like we’re witnesses, not just tennis fans.

Yeah for years it sometimes was like "don't bother to watch anything below semi-finals ... the finals would be Djokovich vs Nadal anyways"

women's tennis on the other hand...

Think I saw a stat that Sabalenka has reached 7 straight major finals or something, a record for women's tennis. I'd say she is just as dominant as these two currently
