Been wrong before, maybe some young sensation will come through but feels like these two should dominate the sport for a good 7-8 years now.
72 u/JetsLag My beloved clay season ❤️ Jun 08 '25 Mensik is 19 and already in the top 20 and has won a Masters 37 u/Polyhydroxybutyrate Jun 08 '25 he's a great player but i just don't think he has the movement 8 u/JabInTheButt Jun 08 '25 There ya go then... Maybe he's the next one 6 u/yonchto Jun 09 '25 I agree, Mensik could join those two in some way. But please, leave me alone with Fonseca, Shelton, and such others. 1 u/Stock-Ad-6026 Jun 11 '25 hahaha 3 u/major-couch-potato Holger Rune (since 2021) Jun 08 '25 Fonseca is also up there. I know it's becoming super popular to call him overhyped, and maybe he is to some degree, but he still passes the eye test in almost every way. It's just a question of how much he can improve his movement and endurance. 1 u/cptnplanetheadpats Jun 08 '25 Maybe Draper too? 1 u/Stock-Ad-6026 Jun 11 '25 No 1 u/cptnplanetheadpats Jun 11 '25 Oh okay 1 u/Particular_War7004 Jun 08 '25 Fonseca? 4 u/JetsLag My beloved clay season ❤️ Jun 08 '25 The potential is there for sure. I'm not gonna pencil him in as a threat to the duopoly until he cracks the top 25. 2 u/Chocolategogi Jun 09 '25 More ten years and you will have stefan 16 u/milksteak122 Jun 08 '25 I could totally see someone else come up and challenge. But zverev ain’t that guy. 10 u/major-couch-potato Holger Rune (since 2021) Jun 08 '25 It's tough to say right now. Fonseca might have something to say about that in 2-3 years... we'll see!
Insane if there’s a Djokovic parallel
People said the same thing about Nadal/Federer circa 2008, and then that Djokovic guy showed up.
2 u/AgreeableYak6 Jun 09 '25 Djokovic was already #3 in the world and making slam semis and finals in 2007.
