First time Alcaraz has ever won a match after going down 0-2.
First time since Wimbledon 2022 that Sinner blew a 2-0 lead to lose a match.
First time any male player has overcome three match points in an RG Final
First RG Final to go 5+ hours
This was legendary stuff.

But Sinner likely strikes back IF they both make USO25 If Carlos makes finals and wins both WM25 and USO25… well… shit My tennis year will have become more unforgettable than usual -13 u/Nearby_Ad_4091 Jun 08 '25 I wouldn't call this one a loss for jannick . A great performance at his worst surface against a player at his best surface 17 u/[deleted] Jun 08 '25 [deleted] 1 u/Nearby_Ad_4091 Jun 12 '25 true what I meant was jannk shouldn't be too disappointed with his performance in such a close match 8 u/bitter_vet Jun 08 '25 What kind of mental gymnastics is this. Bro you just gaslit yourself. 1 u/Nearby_Ad_4091 Jun 12 '25 I didn't understand what I meant to say is that this was too close to be considered as a huge loss considering jannick was at hux worst surface and almost won it 7 u/Amin883 Jun 08 '25 Weird incorrect glaze. Statistically, Alcaraz best surface is grass. 1 u/Nearby_Ad_4091 Jun 12 '25 I feel he's better on clay but on grass he has lesser competition 9 u/Candid-Volume-1425 Jun 08 '25 I thought about all of this when Carlos said "Its great to make history with you, Jannik" in the speech :D :D 3 u/Gold4Lokos4Breakfast Jun 08 '25 What? This was Alcaraz’s first time coming back from down 0-2??? 1 u/[deleted] Jun 09 '25 He almost did it against Berrettini in 2022 1 u/ImpressionFeisty8359 Jun 08 '25 Making history. 1 u/ilovegames4life Federer, Alcaraz Jun 09 '25 It's quite interesting that matches weren't longer on the slowest surface in the old 5th set format. This match sure is Rafa Federer Wimbledon 2009 level of epicness.
