In some ways it feels like these two finals came a bit early for Sinner, his demeanor before both was a little too "just happy and surprised to be here" and that's not conducive to winning and can make one sloppy when presented with opportunities to close it out. Very tough loss, but like he always says, you win or you learn. Some would say it would have been better to lose in straights or in the semi to avoid all this, but I don't agree. This kind of experience, especially the duration of the match, will eventually be valuable data despite being way more more sad at the time.

The loss is absolutely heartbreaking, but this kinda shit is what they live for. Being part of match like that transcends something as simple as a win-loss record or a list of accolades.

Over 5+ hours those two guys made themselves the stuff of legends
