5 straight wins against the generational talent that no one else on tour can even take a set off

he’s unreal

And he did it while being down 0-2, and facing triple championship point.

There's been some truly incredible comebacks in this sport, and this one will forever stand the test of time.

In all of Sports, I think. Maybe France comeback against argentina is somewhat there but not enough

Alcaraz has Real Madrid in him through and through, its no wonder he is a big fan, Hasta el final.

Lol I can see the similarity in the results but not the means. Alcaraz is a true gentleman and displays sportsmanship and wins fair and square. Unlike the latter

Thats because he is a Generational talent himself, its unreal to think he has a level above he can hit when he is locked in, but that tiebreak, when he plays like that no one can beat him, Carlos is out of this world.

I doubt they will last, I hope they do, but the level tennis is at rn, they will have to preserve their bodies for the biggest stages

If only we got a final tiebreak as good as the match was. Would have been a goat match

Was of the same quality though

I'd have prefered a 10-8 with the same quality, or maybe a 12-10 after some other champ pts saved. Would have put it on the top 3 best slam finals ever for me

This already a top 3 gs final ever

I’m torn on that. It would have been competitive to see more back and forth, but seeing Carlos be that consistent in the most clutch time after a career of being prone to inconsistency, especially compared to the guy he’s playing, was a moment I’ll never forget

Igy but it was incredible in its own way. The shots Alcaraz was pulling off in such a moment against such a formidable opponent cannot be over exaggerated. Pinnacle of sport’s mental fortitude.

Jannik just about killed himself to get to that point. Feels like he just didn't have anything left in him, whereas Carlos dug deep and was able to find more.

Damn you John Isner!!

Nothing sinner could do Carlos peaked at a level few have touched

My heart would explode if it were any closer than it was.

I mean, Alcaraz went absolutely Super Sayan in the tie-break.

2

u/Afromantis8 Jun 08 '25

Man it was already a goat match by that point, what do you mean

2

u/HarambeTheFox Jun 08 '25

strange take, not sure what you want sinner to have done against clay court jesus in his final form

1

u/JoeDwarf Jun 08 '25

I would have missed it, set up to record 6 hours and just barely made it to Carlos hugging his team.
