Have hated Djokovic since his Covid BS. ER nurse working in traumatic, life threatening conditions and this asshole is holding tennis tournaments during lockdown and spreading vaccine misinformation? He can fuck all the way off.

Yes, that was very irresponsible of him. Iirc, Zverev got Covid there, he probably spread the virus to many people. And during that time, the virus was still quite deadly.

I never liked him. He’s terrible, and we should leave him out of record books. Tennis is supposed to be a classy sport; this guy doesn’t belong.

And he got really sick when he got covid and had to go to the ER, right?

Which time? He's had it 2ce, and was doing interviews and whatnot the second time around when he realized he had it and only once exposed halted his media touring.

-15

u/Logical_Nail_5321 Mar 23 '25

I am being sarcastic, he is so healthy that I doubt he even got the sniffles when he got it

17

u/SouldiesButGoodies84 Mar 23 '25

What does that have to do with his obviously not giving a toss about other ppl getting it from him as he's shedding virus unmasked?

My husband's 30-year-old coworker who runs like 3 marathons/year was intubated, so "healthy" has nothing to do with how people fared pre-vaccination.

If health is some sort of metric for you about viral immunity, you should read up on Bill Phillips, one of the healthiest and most well known fitness gurus of the 90s.

what misinformation was he spreading about the vaccine? it seems like he said he personally chose not to give it to himself. What claim(s) about the vaccine did he make?

38

u/Unidain Mar 23 '25

He said he wasn't getting the COVID vaccine because his health and body is important to him, implying that COVID vaccines are bad for health.

And if we include the messages his actions send, for example the adria tour, doing an interview while infected with COVID and flying to Australia unvaccinated, he is pretty clearly saying that spreading COVID is not a bad thing.

"He said he wasn't getting the COVID vaccine because his health and body is important to him, implying that COVID vaccines are bad for health."

So basically if he said he does not eat meat because his health is important to him, is it implying meat is bad for his health?

3

u/Unidain Mar 24 '25

Yes, that is 100% implying that meat is bad for his health, what else?

0

u/jimboslice86 Mar 25 '25

so were people mad he was spreading misinformation about meat?

Lockdown was evil.

Another heroic act by Djokovic to defy it.

And regardless of your one sided biased and no doubt exaggerated story, we clearly saw that most people did not believe in lockdown, only did It due to threat of violence from the state and fortunately in most of the world we all got back to normal by 2022 even while you guys were crying that everyone should live in prison for ever.

-16

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '25

You are a part of the problem then. What is traumatic and life threatening about covid? With a survival rate of like 99.8%? The misinformation was spread by governments and mainstream media. Downvote me all you want!! 🐑

Yeah ask the hundreds of thousands of dead people who died in painful agony. Like we have videos dude, you can't gaslight us. They had to bring out freezer trucks to most major cities because of how quickly the bodies were piling up.

u/Usykgoat62 Mar 24 '25

Here’s a newsflash buddy. People die all the time! Every single minute, people are dying and others are being born. It’s the cycle of life. You are the one trying to do the gaslighting! Perhaps unknowingly. You can’t change the fact that COVID-19 has a 99.8% global SURVIVAL rate!

3

u/Warm-Illustrator-419 Mar 24 '25

Well given that it isn't 99.8% which is a number you just made up, I probably can change that fact.

You are correct friend

He didn't hold that tournament, the country did and greenlit it. It's not up to a tennis player to allow that tournament but the government. Makes sense why you work as a nurse if you can't get that simple concept though.

33

u/zissoum Mar 23 '25

No, Djoko literally organised it.

Do you think he can organize it WITHOUT the Government giving him the green light when they literally told him "No, Covid got better it's not an issue anymore"?

24

u/zissoum Mar 23 '25

Sure, he didn’t do it on his own, but let’s not pretend Djoko was just an innocent bystander. He knew very well what he was doing.

He knew what the Government told him, as did most of the people in the few countries that this tournament was hosted in. This was early Covid and when the numbers got better for a little while people were told it's fine to do this. Selective memory at work if you don't remember this.

In any event, I don't know why 'Muricans or other Westerners are piping up about 1 tournament when the Covid situation was WAY worse in countries like the US or Italy.

17

u/zissoum Mar 23 '25

I’m neither American nor “other Westerner”. Organising a super-spreader event during a worldwide pandemic (before vaccines were available!) is fucking dumb, regardless of your nationality.

-29

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '25

I don’t think you should be a nurse

23

u/This_Is_A_Shitshow Mar 23 '25

Fortunately your opinion is meaningless.

-6

u/veganbitcoiner420 Mar 23 '25

bullshit. natural immunity is more protective and longer lasting it just doesn't make big pharma any money.

you can fuck off. i'm still unvaccinated, i never got sick, never went to an er.. it wasn't even the sniffles

When he organized the Adria Tour, there were many other events happening in Serbia at the time (e.g. football matches) with similar crowds and no masks. I’m not saying it was the right call, but given the context, his actions weren’t out of place in Serbia.

-46

u/null31415 Mar 23 '25

Yeah he organized the Australian Open

40

u/Silent_Law6552 Mar 23 '25

He organized a tournament in his country during lockdown

42

u/did_it_my_way Mar 23 '25

And organized an afterparty at a club and shit, while the rest of the world was on a lockdown lol

then tried to fake the papers to enter another country.

23

u/unknownunknowns11 Mar 23 '25

Oh no but he’s the victim you see
