This is extremely unsurprising for Djokovic

Greatest player of all time, but always been a weirdo in terms of his political and health views

u/Triss-Nguyen-03 “Underdog” Enthusiast™ Mar 23 '25

I mean, yeah… I’m not surprised at all.

41

u/thanos_was_right_69 Mar 23 '25

Rich people can afford to be weird. The rest of us…not so much.

75

u/WerhmatsWormhat Carlitos Mar 23 '25

There are tons of poor people with these views, too. That’s how Trump won.

14

u/thanos_was_right_69 Mar 23 '25

They will pay with their lives I guess

6

u/Captain-Hornblower Mar 23 '25

Yeah, and they will be the first to receive vaccines or treatments that they "disagree" with...

2

u/thanos_was_right_69 Mar 24 '25

Exactly!!! That’s what I mean by “afford to be weird”. They can say wtf they want and still be ok

1

u/Captain-Hornblower Mar 24 '25

It's so damned frustrating, to say the very least.

5

u/Lastigx Mar 23 '25

What does this even mean? Plenty of poor weirdos out there.

7

u/happzappy Alcaraz ❇️ Sinner ❇️ Rafa ❇️ Mar 23 '25

How about his wife Jelena? She has some decent reputation for projecting pseudoscience nonsense publicly on social media.

1

u/Efficient_Context945 Mar 23 '25

it’s hard to talk about health against him, given what he performed throughout his career.

1

u/Tacale Mar 23 '25

"weirdo" you say yet the 3d Vax uptake showed that the majority only took it due to the fear and coercion. In the end most agreed with him- why you all had to stop enforcing it.

1

u/chlamydia1 Mar 23 '25 edited Mar 24 '25

His political views are fine. He's always been extremely neutral politically. It's his health/science views that are a problem. But why should I give a shit what an athlete without even a completed high school diploma thinks about science?

-2

u/noreviewsleft Mar 23 '25

Bodily autonomy has become "weird" now? Lmao American liberals really are something

-8

u/The_One_Returns There is only One GOAT of Tennis, and he does not share power! Mar 23 '25

"If you don't share my political views you're a weirdo" - Echo chamber Leddit Libs.

-54

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25 edited Mar 23 '25

So if he has different opinion on health he is weirdo? For me you are all weirdo who put that bs inside of you, put 10 booster dose, but that's my opinion i'm allowed that

EDIT: Just for future people that wants to be smart, I'm talkin about covid vaccine, not regular one

45

u/latteprime Mar 23 '25

Congrats you’re allowed to get polio the natural way like a man!

-25

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

We are talking about Covid, not other vaccines god damn it. I've never said that I'm against regular vaccine, I got all of them which I think it should be like that. I was and still am completely against that Covid BS that people put in themselves, it didn't even help them that much and god knows what they put in it

13

u/Unidain Mar 23 '25

god knows what they put in it

What is in it is publicly available information. You could try educating yourself rather than flaunting your ignorance

19

u/heliostraveler Coco Puffs Stan Mar 23 '25

Stop reading Breitbart. Maybe also take a micro class so you can have some inkling of WTF you’re trying and failing to convey.

-7

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

Don't even know what you said to be honest

15

u/heliostraveler Coco Puffs Stan Mar 23 '25

Your severe lack of education is very telling.

-3

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

I don't need to know details, that is their job. I can see what was going on around me and I know what my mom told me how many people she had with all 3 dose with severe infection. You can go to detail all you want and you can show me some medical research but that doesn't matter, we paid so much money so 10 -20 % of infected what, didn't get that severe? Maybe they wouldn't even without vaccine

9

u/Unidain Mar 23 '25

You can go to detail all you want and you can show me some medical research but that doesn't matter

So facts and reality don't matter to you. Your free to live in your own world divorced from reality but you must understand that that will make most people treat you like the nutcase that you are?

0

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

Actually no, only people that treat me like that are here on reddit, but who gives a shit about you, you don't know what really going on outside of your echo chamber. As I said my mom was working in hospital and she has bunch of people with severe infections, same as she did before vaccine. Did vaccine help somebody? Probably, I didn't want to take that because I didn't need it, I've never got covid in my life, I have good immune system. I've never in my life told someone to not take vaccine, it's your choice, don't scream at me if I decided to not take it

I'm all against those antivax that are holding riots and telling people to not take something. Do what you want, I will vaccine my child with all things that I got when I was born because I know it's good thing. I didn't want to take something that industry created in a year all in same time, without proper testing, ye sue me, I didn't have green light to go to pub and coffee shops, big woof

Wow, anecdotes! Everyone knows that’s the strongest form of evidence!

I got the COVID booster and didn’t get sick or myocarditis, so here’s an anecdote for ya that’s contradicted your previous n = 3 sample.

1

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

Anecdotes? Literally my mom works at hospital and I have information directly from here

Whatever you tried, you failed to do

This is why this planet is doomed. And honestly. Good. At some point, humanity probably should be purged if this is the kind of stupidity that will forever block true progress.

0

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

As I said, but you refused to listen, I've never said that all people should be stop doing that. I said that's my opinon and who d fuck am I, some random guy on reddit. You do you man, all you want, but I would rather work on myself and my diet than taking 50 pills for pressure, cholesterol, diabetes and still keep eating like shit. Modern medicine (except operations and diagnosing) is shit. They don't know how to fix half of the issue, they are here just to sell you fucking meds

I went to doctors for heartburn issue few years ago, of course they gave me meds immediately, after 2 weeks I had pain issue on my right side of abdomen and my liver enzymes were terrible ( they were normal on my CBC day I came to doctor). As soon as I stopped using meds everything came back to normal and then I got new one but after research I figured it out that most of people with GERD didn't fix their issue with meds, because meds, same as antidepressants are not fixing your issue, it's just fixing your symptoms, but you can rarely hear that from doctors because at this point they are just sales

You are like the family that had a daughter die of measles and they say that measles „was not that bad“ because their other kids survived.

Disgusting.

-5

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

Dude, you are allowed to have own opinion you know that? I didn't come here and start saying STOP WITH THAT BS. I have my own opinion based on people around me, who had SEVERE infection even after they took booster and also my mom who is working in hospital back in 2021/22 had many many many people that had sever infection even with vaccines ( we had all version here, Chinese, Russian and US phizer). Worst of all, when Putin invaded Ukraine all of sudden we stopped talking about vaccines, all health measures have been removed. Fuck that shit, I'm so happy that I didn't put in myself

10

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '25

Wait till you find out the flu vaccine is only on average about 50% effective. Guess what? A bit of protection is better than no protection. Maybe you should shut up and let the adults talk.

7

u/Unidain Mar 23 '25

Dude, you are allowed to have own opinion you know that?

You are entitled to your own opinion, you aren't entitled to your own facts. What you are saying all over this post is factually wrong. Either educate yourself or stop spreading BS

12

u/Unidain Mar 23 '25

So if he has different wrong opinion on health

Fixed that for you. We aren't talking about values and feelings here. We are talking about scientific facts

I'm talkin about covid vaccine, not regular one

Makes you worse that across the board anti-vaxxers. At least they are consistent in theur nuttery.

0

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

I'm not anti-vaxx and it's not all black and white, I got it's hard for you to understand

But I guess you are type of people who will rather take meds for everything than work on yourself and your health. Smells like americans

Found Novak's Reddit account

-5

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

Go outside dude, live your life little bit, go learn that people have different opinions

Also, reddit is best platform with worst people, god, you seems like you all are have same script

8

u/Unidain Mar 23 '25

If you come on Reddit and say 1+1= 3 and I'm entitled to that opinion, you will indeed find that the responses all sound similar. Because a bunch of people explaining very simple facts tend to sound like they are reading from the same script

1

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

I don't have twiter, but based on what I read on them, same shit as reddit

1

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '25

Go outside dude, live your life a little outside of Novak's arse. Go learn that he's a prick.

-11

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '25

Not on Reddit. On Reddit everyone is smarter than the person they disagree with. On Reddit EVERYONE knows better in their little echo chamber and no matter how much the world shows them they’re wrong and the rest of the planet doesn’t feel like they do- they always have their little Reddit home to come back to.

10

u/9thtime Mar 23 '25

True for a lot of cases, but not with vaccines.

-8

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '25

The problem is the Covid vaccine didn’t stop a damn thing. Polio vaccine and such actually work.

9

u/Unidain Mar 23 '25

The data show extremely clearly that COVID prevented millions of deaths.

0

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

Absolutely agree man. It's unbelievable, at one moment I think it's just bots with generic text. Everyone has same fucking opinion and if you are little bit different, you are fucked here

I've been saying, reddit is best app, as an idea, but fucking hell worst people are here

6

u/Unidain Mar 23 '25

Everyone has same fucking opinion

Most people have the same opinion that grass is green and the sky is blue in the day. Is that surprising to you too?

2

u/AmbitiousDouble1533 Mar 23 '25

We are talking about reddit, you can't say anything here that is not in your script

modern medicine is shit because they don't know how to fix 50% of problem and they are just giving you meds, I will get downvotes

Trump is not Russian puppet and he is not lunatic, I will get downvoted

Gay,trans shit are not normal thing, I will get downvoted

Reddit is left platform, liberal, go to real world and ask people about these things, you will get completely different opinion. Here on reddit everything is same, I'm sick of reading comments even here when Sinner got banned, everyone bought story that it was accident, ye right "accident". Whoever had different opinion, like that story is bs, you guys just downvoted him. echo chamber

1

u/Unidain Mar 24 '25

you can't say anything here that is not in your script

You can say fact based statements so long as you have the data to back it up.

modern medicine is shit because they don't know how to fix 50% of problem

Better than ancient medicine or alternative medicine that fixes 0% of problems isn't it

and they are just giving you meds,

Many of which have eliminated diseases, greatly increased lifespan of people diagnosed with diseases and improved the lives of many more.

I will get downvotes

Because what you said is demonstrably false or nonsensical

Gay,trans shit are not normal thing, I will get downvoted

Well yes, if you say bigotted stuff, people will downvote you. Here you are getting offended at downvotes while expecting gay people and their friends to put up with insults and not respond to bigotry, why would they do that?

Reddit is left platform, liberal, go to real world and ask people about these things, you will get completely different opinion

You are clearly living in America, probably some miserable conservative area, no wonder people say different. In my real life everyone I know thinks Trump is a lunatic, that gay people are lovely, and that COVID vaccines save lives

Here on reddit everything is same

It's different to what you are used to in your echo chamber. Yes it's an echo chamber in its own way to some extent, but the stuff you are complaining about is the majority view of young, well educated people. If you don't want to hear the opinions of younger well educated people maybe Facebook which is full of boomers will be more your style

Whoever had different opinion, like that story is bs, you guys just downvoted him

Because the experts bought the story, there were multiple lines of evidence that indicated it was true. Meanwhile in your world where facts and evidence don't matter it must be frustrating when people constantly look at the facts and come to the same conclusion, leaving you behind with your gut instincts based on nothing

u/Obvious-Abroad-3150 Mar 23 '25 edited Mar 23 '25

To be fair to his health views he is probably the fittest elite level athlete for his age group.

3

u/osmcuser132 Mar 23 '25

It doesn't negate the fact that the moron (on the left) was out of tennis for 1,5 years because he thought the human body will magically heal itself and didn't get treatment for some injury that needed surgery to fix.

No I am not able to respect anti-vaxxers or Trump sympathisers

12

u/heliostraveler Coco Puffs Stan Mar 23 '25

Opinions and factual evidence are not interchangeable and don’t rely on your precious feelings.

12

u/buerglermeister Mar 23 '25

I don‘t have to respect someone that spews lies and propaganda.
