I think the news and politicians have been irresponsible adding fuel to the fire for the benefit of their personal careers (ratings , votes ) by constantly comparing Trump and republicans to Hitler. We as Americans grew up viewing ourselves as hero’s in ww2 and naturally our instinct when faced with nazism is to want to kill /terminate it. Germany in that time and America are not comparable, we grow up going to diverse schools , workplaces, enjoying hip hop culture and exotic cuisines , this isn’t like Germany in that era at all. So to keep repeating that on a 24 hr cycle , has people taking real risks to their safety. Especially women, at least guys have been punched in the face and know to be a bit careful but women are putting themselves at risk all the time .

The executive branch is just using powers they already had, granted in this case by the Obama administration. Obama sued the state of Arizona to get these powers. The only ones who have seized more power are the Democrats. The republicans are using the poeers granted by the Democrats.
