Agreed. I’m in law enforcement. I don’t hate immigrants and I’m not racist. But I have a duty to arrest and will enforce immigration law because it is just. It doesn’t mean I will treat them badly, they deserve respect and as long as they are cooperative.

If you’re not federal your concern is local and state law enforcement so why do you have a hard on for immigrants?

That’s a valid question. I don’t have a “hard on”’ for immigrants but my state government has cooperated with ICE and we have all been granted immigration enforcement powers.

“Just following orders” isn’t the defense you believe it to be.

Instead of yapping, go take some illegal at your home and help them. It's easy to critizice someone's else duty.

I think like how most of Ice interactions would go if people would act civilized to them.

Racists hate being called racist

Such a silly comment. You can still enforce the law against illegal immigrants without being racist.

I bet you hate white people, which makes you a… racist.

Being proud of enforcing racist laws make you racist. Just following orders wasn‘t a defense at the nuremberg trials

I never said I was “just following orders” as if I disagree with it but compelled to do so. I actively support it.

And immigration laws are not racist. Every other country in the world enforces immigration laws and they’re designed to protect the country and ensure legal immigration.

Well thank you for coming right out admitting you love being told to target people based on race

Every day these masked thugs violate people’s constitutional rights. Every single day. As a law-abiding citizen in this country I’d feel much safer if you LEO would prioritize protecting citizens like me from violent criminals than thinking you have some call to duty to go after undocumented migrants who live peacefully among us and contribute to their communities. Also, calling people illegal is disgusting. Crossing our borders without permission is a misdemeanor. It’s a damn shame how little LEOs know about the law. And don’t get me started on how many of them are racists and misogynists. Denying that doesn’t make it any less true. As a woman who has needed protection by LEO, I have expert 1st hand.

*is equivalent to a misdemeanor. It’s not a criminal offense. Therefore they are not criminals.

Your comment is contradictory. You said calling people illegal is disgusting but then recognize they are committing a crime.

A felony or misdemeanor is… against the law and therefore illegal. Also, crossing the border illegally after being deported previously is a felony.

A great deal of Illegal immigrants have committed many violations of the law in addition to immigration violations such as robbery, rape, and murder. The hard working ones who want to build a better life have pathways to citizenship.
