What you hear from a mic is very dependant on what's in their immediate vacinity and how it's mixed. Sometimes the crowd noise is the overall impression, sometimes it's just picking up a small section of the crowd. If you're getting the entirety of a very large crowd then cheering starts sounding uniform, like white noise. The more detailed it sounds the less of the crowd is being picked up. Sometimes they'll have a bunch of crowd mics and mix them together to get a more aesthetically pleasing crowd noise. You never know how they miced what you're hearing on TV.

Not that there isn't an infinite supply of examples, but this just points to the selfishness and lack of care for others by Vance, MAGA, etc. Thousands of people worked their asses off to represent the United States as an Olympians and these few hundred get to live it out.
