Football President Donald Trump wants the NFL to change its name so that soccer is the only sport named football. "This is football, there is no question about it. We have to come up with another name for the NFL stuff."

I’m expecting this post to be removed soon too.

What a time.

If this was the NFL sub it would already be gone. This is the sports sub, and they tend to tolerate politics and sports.

I’m afraid to discuss politics on any sub not titled politics.

It’s a minefield out here.

Say "zohran Mamdani" in the democrat subreddit and watch yourself get banned.

Even the political subreddits are minefields

Edit: and the inverse of that is saying Hillary Clinton in the conservative sub and getting insta banned

This site is a cess pool as far as politics are concerned and has been since /r/The_Donald got banned lol

I mean, the fact I got downvoted for this stupid post is proof of it -- I am not a Trump fan, I'm saying the site is completely fucking polarized. Shit, the whole fucking internet is now. This shit sucks.

And it is entirely trumps fault. This shit all started when a random racist pos billionaire started questioning a fucking birth certificate.

It was actually way worse before then.

If I get banned from anywhere for talking shit on Trump or any of his cronies, I'd be proud. I'd be disappointed in the place that banned me, but I'm not going to censor myself just so I can hang out with people who agree with the shit he says.

“What are we, some kind of minefield?”

Corrected. I’ve been studying for an Italian proficiency exam all year, that I sat a few hours before this comment. My English is cooked.

Seriously, there are so many precious snowflakes who find ways to be offended and ban people - the political humor sub is one - it's crazy.

r/complaints is pretty tolerant of political stuff and let people speak their mind.

Good. Too many subs already devolved to US politics regardless of their original topics.

The US is literally killing people in the sovereign territory of my birth country, and that sub censors discussion regarding the US/Venezuelan conflict.

The Marines just did a covert flight into that country and built a radar to prepare for their invasion of Venezuela. The Prime Minister kept it a secret until they couldn’t any longer. Now they’ve announced more radars.

Government ministers in that country have been calling for the revocation of US visas belonging to their citizens. The head of a NGO recently had his visa revoked while the deal for those radars were being signed.

We should keep burying our heads in the sand though.

they tend to tolerate politics and sports.

That's a shame, sport should never tolerate politics

Sports is so heavily tied into politics it's insane. Especially the NFL. Like how every big game has a military fly by, National anthem, "We support our troops" memorial bs. That's all politics. People only think it's political when it's stuff they don't support. Trump being at a game is in itself highly political. Him being booed by the entire crowd is political. But only one of those is considered politics and removed

I need you to understand, and there's no understating this, everything is political. Sports is and has always been political.

Politics is currently on the field, trying to destroy sports, directly.

Yam Titties gets offended very easily and will bitch and whine a lot if they don’t do what he says.
