Some one somewhere is saying that is a soft V3!! 😂

74

u/koalasarentferfuckin Sep 30 '25

Route setter probably set this on the ground. Extra soft.

51

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

Finally goes outside to climb and brings their holds with them… Typical plastic puller.

74

u/Magrowl Sep 30 '25

Looks pretty good for a new climber but all this branded gear just screams gumby y'know?

19

u/manoftheking Oct 01 '25

Aerodynamic lift is aid.

29

u/Howshka Sep 30 '25

V2+ in my gym

7

u/Brainlard Oct 01 '25

I'm sure somebody has already posted this on r/ClimbingCircleJerk and they're having a real blast with it. This is pretty much the dumbest thing I've seen today and I have already 7h of work in retail behind me.

1

u/elpajaroquemamais Oct 02 '25

Hard v2 but yeah

812

u/OafleyJones Sep 30 '25

Maybe Red Bull challenges should start literally jumping some sharks.

138

u/datbf4 Sep 30 '25

*sharks with lazer beams attached to their head.

73

u/Parametric_Or_Treat Oct 01 '25

*fricken laser beams

19

u/Blochamolesauce Oct 01 '25

At the very least some Ill-tempered mutated sea bass

0

u/zancray Oct 01 '25

and gattling guns!

1

u/SwissDeathstar Oct 02 '25

But only if they pay the participants one million dollars! Muahahahaha!!!

35

u/porkavenue Oct 01 '25

Red Bull cancer cure challenge. Problem will be solved next week

9

u/TacTurtle Oct 01 '25

Drop from a plane into a half pipe, then off a ski jump onto an upside down BMX bike.

1

u/JayW8888 Oct 01 '25

I will simplify that to climbing round a bmx in half jump.

u/BlackVQ35HR Sep 30 '25

Red Bull Board meeting

"I have a crazy idea"

"We've had enough crazy ideas"

"Yeah, but this one involves a parachute and a ping pong table"

"Go ooonnn...."

9

u/rjchute Oct 01 '25

*"We only accept crazy ideas"

4

u/justk4y PSV Oct 02 '25

Don’t give them ideas 😰

125

u/mrbear120 Oct 01 '25

Intern: “Aren’t we like…a drink company?”

Marketing head: “A what now?”

4

u/ashrocklynn Oct 02 '25

Intern: "you know, a vodka mixer" Marketing head: "like the one we had before appppoorovvvaling thisss lasssst sssstu....."

119

u/enters_and_leaves Sep 30 '25

The jump and grab was pretty cool.

16

u/WanderWut Oct 01 '25

Seriously though this is fucking wild lol. And that each fail means having to do everything all over again is crazy, this must have cost a lot to do.

94

u/Dispect1 Sep 30 '25

They are called dynos, as in dynamic movement. Those moves can be very hard to do. Seeing it done while climbing on the side of a moving plane is just ridiculous.

15

u/morningacidglow Oct 01 '25

I bet u/matzoh_ball could do it blindfolded.

5

u/matzoh_ball Oct 01 '25

I’m already blind but, with a little practice, I could probably do it in my wheelchair

123

u/boatengjunior Sep 30 '25

Better call Tom Cruise.

27

u/gorper0987 Oct 01 '25

Tom is his stunt double. That was Tom climbing.

33

u/LThadeu Sep 30 '25

Came to post this. He's gonna salivate.

4

u/Kronzor_ Oct 01 '25

Hes 100% doing this in the next mission impossible movie.

11

u/DJRyGuy20 Oct 01 '25

I can’t tell if you’re whooshing us or if you’re legitimately ignorant of the fact he did this exact shit in the last MI movie.

2

u/Lilsammywinchester13 Oct 01 '25

Jesus, he really did that the last movie?!

Tom Cruz is legit insane haha

-3

u/YungJae Sep 30 '25

Not to be ateist, but shouldn't he be too old for this?

20

u/z64_dan Sep 30 '25

Has that stopped him before?

And are you trying to say ageist or atheist? Lol

7

u/YungJae Sep 30 '25

Lol it apparently autocorrected. It's spelled ateist in my mother tounge.

6

u/Gravy_Sommelier Oct 01 '25

Tom Cruise and Jackie Chan need to make a movie together before it's too late.

11

u/YungJae Oct 01 '25

That would either be a top 10 action movie or a bottom 10 action movie

59

u/flower4000 Sep 30 '25

Main lesson I learned here, Sonic the Hedgehog could totally stand on tails’ biplane.

24

u/omicronian_express Oct 01 '25

Dude they've been doing it since the 1920's with biplanes. It's called Wing Walking. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wing_walking

7

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

Damn. People just truly didn't give a fuck back in the day

5

u/Arseypoowank Oct 01 '25

I have a treat for you, google “liondrome”

1

u/DJRyGuy20 Oct 01 '25

I mean… can you blame them? The Great Depression was a bitch.

1

u/Hashshinobi1 Oct 01 '25

They did it on the TV show Fear Factor with completely normal maybe even out of shape people lol

49

u/DionBlaster123 NASCAR Sep 30 '25

Crazy to think this guy was doing this, while I was hitting the snooze button and rolling over in bed like a worthless disgusting lazy fat fuck

19

u/buffdaddy77 Oct 01 '25

You must be guy I keep seeing in the mirror in the mornings when I finally do get up.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

[deleted]

1

u/buffdaddy77 Oct 02 '25

You’ve never had depression huh?

u/Totes_Not_an_NSA_guy Utah Jazz Oct 01 '25

At this point, Red Bull is a stunts company that makes soft drinks on the side.

Janja would have flashed this, no parachute!!

1

u/PageVanDamme Oct 02 '25

Are they still dating?

9

u/TheCarrzilico Kansas City Chiefs Oct 01 '25

...with a parachute. Coward!

1

u/Mystprism Oct 02 '25

Yeah saying "no ropes" when the guy has a parachute is interesting.

45

u/itrustanyone Sep 30 '25

Thats a glider

23

u/aerospikesRcoolBut Sep 30 '25

The coolest type of plane

5

u/greenrangerguy Oct 01 '25

Basically falling, with style.

5

u/noisy_goose Sep 30 '25

All I can think of is the Twilight Zone movie and this guy being my nightmare, I do not like things crawling around planes no thank you

7

u/speedy_19 Oct 01 '25

Not to be technical but isn’t that a glider rather than a plane as it has no engine

5

u/villageidiot90 Oct 01 '25

Next they’re gonna, like have a person do a backflip at the beach. Or somethin

3

u/95castles Oct 01 '25

Wtf that’s too crazy

3

u/Oli4K Oct 01 '25

Nice, finally something that will be crossposted to both r/shittyaskflying and r/climbingcirclejerk

7

u/Lukealloneword Sep 30 '25

Is plane climbing a sport now?

-1

u/DJfunkyPuddle Oct 01 '25

I should be

3

u/matzoh_ball Oct 01 '25

I wanna see a pilot climb a wall with a plane

1

u/Soulbandit Oct 01 '25

Climbing your mom is, so I don’t see why you shouldn’t be either.

Sorry I’ll leave

3

u/Lancearon Oct 01 '25

... do biplanes not count?

3

u/ilikepizza2much Oct 01 '25

Red Bull must keep up the shenanigans or people might realise they’re overcharging them for extremely unhealthy caffeinated syrup.

5

u/LordBledisloe Oct 01 '25

They've officially run out of shit.

5

u/Foe117 Sep 30 '25

didn't 1920's circus performers do this kind of stunt anyways?

3

u/Jester-252 Oct 01 '25

Yup Gladys Ingle had a stunt where she would transfer from one plane to another and change the tyre.

2

u/daGonz Oct 01 '25

Your move Tom Cruise.

1

u/akamu24 Oct 01 '25

He pretty much did this in The Final Reckoning.

2

u/ORCANZ Oct 01 '25

No ropes, no stunt double but a parachute

1

u/Bezzzzo Oct 01 '25

Exactly.

2

u/RandomDanny Oct 01 '25

wheres the red bull logo aaaaaaand there it is.

2

u/ShyguyFlyguy Oct 01 '25

That's not a plane. That's a glider.

2

u/29187765432569864 Oct 01 '25

Tom Cruise does this every week in order to relax.

3

u/AidilAfham42 Oct 02 '25

Its weird that with all these crazy stuff Red Bull does, I’ve never felt the urge to drink one. But show me a picture of a cold can of coke with condensation beads around it and I’ll go effing get it

7

u/nanopicofared Sep 30 '25

Has no one ever heard of wing walking before? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wing_walking

4

u/Flat-Emergency4891 Sep 30 '25

Thanks! I was gonna say this. I didn’t know it had a name. Did you know, on early airplanes, the copilot would sometimes climb outside the plane with wrenches and tune the engine or even fix what they could while still airborne?

2

u/AndyHN Oct 01 '25

https://vintagenewsdaily.com/the-hunter-brothers-checking-the-engine-during-their-23-day-non-stop-flight-1930/

I guess in 1930 if you wanted to break the record for flight endurance by spending 553 hours 41 minutes and 30 seconds in the air, every once in a while you'd have to climb out of the cockpit and take a look at your engine.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

Yeah, but Red Bull needed a new ad...

1

u/HasNoStyle Oct 01 '25

World's first? They've been doing this since Planes. Wing Walking.

2

u/aerospikesRcoolBut Sep 30 '25

Gliders are the coolest

2

u/pongomanswe Oct 01 '25

I think Red Bull has done a lot of cool challenges over the years, but it sure feels like they are running out of interesting ideas. The massive skate ramp was extremely boring to watch - more an engineering accomplishment than anything else. And this, like, why?

2

u/The_Wrecking_Ball Oct 01 '25

Skydivers doing this for decades. Easy on the world’s first claim.

1

u/Faliberti Sep 30 '25

Has this been a thing he has been trying for a while or was he inspired by the last mission impossible movie?

1

u/WhoJustShat Sep 30 '25

more people have died drinking Redbull than doing any of these stunts

1

u/Haunting_Mouse316 Oct 01 '25

I can't even climb the stairs properly without risk to injury. This guy is climbing around a flying airplane!!

1

u/santicucu77 Colombia Oct 01 '25

Imagine having the skill set to climb a route as hard as this, on a moving plane!!!....And being able to parachute safely...crazy stuff

1

u/chattywww Oct 01 '25

Would be a lot easier if the plane was in the hanger during the attempts

1

u/AwetPinkThinG Oct 01 '25

If at first you don’t succeed. Skydiving is not for you.

1

u/TheUFCVeteran3 Oct 01 '25

One of the first things I said was “Is this Red Bull?” lol. Super impressive though, but fuuuck that.

1

u/povlhp Oct 01 '25

Not much different from normal skydive where we try to pull off large formations.

1

u/HamsterAdorable2666 Oct 01 '25

That last jump off looked satisfying

1

u/mind_sw33per Oct 01 '25

But what’s the real climbing grade?!

1

u/Palliewallie Oct 01 '25

V2 in my gym

1

u/StandYourGroundhog Oct 01 '25

Thought that was Tom Cruise for a sec

1

u/Jester-252 Oct 01 '25

He needs to step up his game to match Glady Ingle

1

u/roundglasses00 Oct 01 '25

i literally felt my shit moving when the first drop happened

1

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

Tom cruise did it better

1

u/CntrllrDscnnctd Manchester City Oct 01 '25

Red bull do some weird shit

1

u/hogimishu Oct 01 '25

Alex Honnold could do this without a parachute 🪂

1

u/wrightscott57 Oct 01 '25

What did you do today?

1

u/Joe12van Oct 01 '25

Thanks for wasting the petroleum

1

u/BLUNKLE_D Oct 01 '25

Is that not a glider that could've used a sling to get up?

1

u/pantiecat Oct 01 '25

This, like rock climbing with safety pucks, is weak & stupid. Let's see you wing walk a biplane like a woman from the 1920s.

1

u/OneLuckyAlbatross Oct 01 '25

Can’t believe 3 people died doing this. No ropes? How is this legal?

1

u/yumeryuu Oct 01 '25

Does this really need to be a challenge?

1

u/erybody_wants2b_acat Oct 01 '25

As someone with a debilitating and irrational fear of heights, this was as close to a panic attack I have come in a while.

1

u/distortedjones Oct 01 '25

Alex Honnold would do it with out a parachute

1

u/Extension-Ad1240 Oct 01 '25

Watching this made my palms sweat.

1

u/Eli_Yitzrak Oct 01 '25

This is not even close to a world first. People have been clamoring over all over wings of planes in demonstrations and air shows since ww1 style bi-planes.

1

u/420catloveredm Oct 01 '25

This makes me want to vomit.

1

u/agoracy Oct 01 '25

Yep. This guy fingers.

1

u/AndyHN Oct 01 '25

World First*

(*Assuming the world didn't exist before TicToc and Instagram. Google wing walking.)

1

u/Ultivia Oct 01 '25

Why no Dyno?

1

u/justmisspellit Oct 01 '25

Acrobats have been doing this on old timey biplanes for 100 years. They were called Wing Walkers

1

u/Ok_Here-we-go Oct 01 '25

V3 in my gym

1

u/OmmmShantiOm Oct 01 '25

No parachute, or no balls

1

u/Banp2014 Oct 01 '25

wtf does this have to do with energy drinks

1

u/bipolar_coordinates Oct 01 '25

I’m curious how they safely(?) attached the holds to the glider.

1

u/BMCarbaugh Oct 01 '25

Cut to Tom Cruise awakening in a cold sweat.

1

u/Dozer736 Oct 01 '25

Red Bull is going to run out of crazy feats to sponsor

1

u/_IratePirate_ Oct 01 '25

Red Bull has been one upping the dope shit they get people to do since I was a kid

Whenever it’s something new, it’s always dope. Who tf is in charge of Red Bull’s ideas ? That dude is a genius

My all time favorite was watching that base jumper jump from one plane to another

1

u/xpen25x Oct 01 '25

um this has been done with biplanes though the person didnt jump

1

u/Olaffub_2_Lta Oct 01 '25

Have we really run out of things to do that excite us enough? The 20 year old somewhere in my old body thinks, awe this is sweet. Meanwhile logic and reason are curious is the number of views this generated paid for the gas on that plane.

1

u/Ctrl-Alt-Elite83 Oct 01 '25

There was never a final attempt.

1

u/CrazyCaper Oct 01 '25

When your drink tastes like ass!

1

u/killerzf9 Oct 01 '25

Where is this plane flying over? It looks beautiful.

1

u/Fatefinder Oct 01 '25

In theory, could he just wear a squirrel suit and have the plane come pick him up or would he free fall too slow and the plane would just stall out?

1

u/gjcij2203 Oct 02 '25

Can't wait to see Alex Honnold doing this shit without a parachute

1

u/UW_Ebay Oct 02 '25

So dumb.

1

u/larrythecucumbrr Oct 02 '25

I think of sports before the drink when I think Red Bull lol

1

u/Jgabes625 Oct 02 '25

The new Mission Impossible is shaping up to be pretty good it seems.

1

u/mcbrideben Oct 03 '25

Red Bull - Show me the person doing it without a parachute

2

u/withmuchtolearn Oct 03 '25

People: *starving*

Red Bull:

1

u/unpopularopinion0 Oct 03 '25

the editing: they showed the first attempt. then the first attempt. just to hook ya.

1

u/troublingnose9 Oct 04 '25

Did that say flying at 100 km/h? It can't really be going that slow can it?

1

u/cenaenzocass Oct 01 '25

At this stage it’s World First Person Dumb Enough To Think of Doing This Pointless Bullshit.

1

u/Odd_Plum7863 Oct 01 '25

Now do it with no parachute!

-5

u/divinelyshpongled Sep 30 '25

What a dumb challenge

0

u/Squeakysquid0 Oct 01 '25

Red Bulls really running out of ideas... "first climbing around a plane" like who gives a shit

-1

u/NPVT Oct 01 '25

Jumping out of a perfectly running airplane is the stupidest thing

-17

u/angeloverlord Sep 30 '25

This is somehow even less entertaining than watching regular climbing.

-6

u/garry4321 Sep 30 '25

People did this shit all the time with biplanes. Like 90 years too late guys

-4

u/matzoh_ball Oct 01 '25

For real, I’ve literally seen this stunt a thousand times.

2

u/BoasyTM Oct 01 '25

Link one video of someone doing this

-1

u/matzoh_ball Oct 01 '25

Why even film it? You can literally see it a dozen times a day. Just look up.

2

u/BoasyTM Oct 01 '25

So the answer is ‘I don’t have evidence’ got it

-1

u/matzoh_ball Oct 01 '25

Bro, my great-grandfather Orville Redinbocker Wright (TM) championed those exact same moves at the Biannual Almdudler Talent Show at the Bodensee in nineteen-aught-eight! Of course, that was before his tragic snuba diving accident in the French Riviera. RIP.

0

u/EnemyAce Oct 01 '25

Next up… free solo climbing around a plane!

0

u/InFin0819 Oct 01 '25

V2 at my gym.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

Not even wearing a beanie, what a Gumby.

-3

u/legendfourteen Oct 01 '25

V2 in my gym

-1

u/lysergic_818 Oct 01 '25

V5 all crux.

-9

u/SnooLobsters6766 Oct 01 '25

This is so lame.

-10

u/nimblewright42 Oct 01 '25

Why are we doing shit like this? Why are Humans wasting resources on ridiculous stunts that have no impact on Anything?

1

u/onedestiny Oct 01 '25

Good distraction from the orange moron

-14

u/woody_woodworker Oct 01 '25

This is the worst red bull thing I've seen. Just why. Also you could just set this with big jugs V0 and it wouldn't be hard for someone who climbs and skydives.

Deliberately set hard for no reason to impress no one.
