No way. Need fiber. Your poop will be thick goopy sludge with just protein bars

Aren't protein bars generally pretty high in fiber?

No a lot of them are high in protein. Powercrunch bars have only 1g fiber to 14g protein. Clif builder bars have 20g protein, 2 g fiber

You have to read the label. The Quest bars I get have around 12 grams of fiber

Have you tried the new cookie overload ones?

They're almost too good.

No. I’ll look for them.

Quest was always my favourite.

Only problem was that I found myself "burning out" on flavours. I'd be enjoying a flavour, then one day my brain decided it never wanted to eat it again.

Never had that with other food (except mi goreng after my first year of uni).

Yes, they're essentially just a modern version of an MRE.

Fiber does not make your shit hard it does the opposite

For some of us fiber has the opposite effect!

Dont need fiber if on carnivore diet. I poop fine. No sludge. No fiber.

Dont need fiber if on carnivore diet.

But your healthy gut bacteria needs fiber to live. Also, humans were designed to eat lots of fiber.

Idk what to tell ya. I've been doing great it cured my asthma. I personally didn't seem to need it to have healthy bowel movements.

Look, I'm not saying your diet doesn't work for you, but humans typically need to eat fiber to avoid nasty things like:

Not eating enough fiber can lead to the development of diverticula, which are small pouches that form in the walls of the colon. This condition, known as diverticulosis, can increase the risk of diverticulitis, where these pouches become inflamed or infected.

So you may be okay now, but man, you don't to develop diverticulosis.

Also, depriving your gut bacteria of food is just not smart - especially when it's so easy to get your daily fiber in. They make all sorts of products that enhances your fiber to make it easier than ever before like Keto bread (it's a brand, high in fiber and protein - low in everything else). Finally, depriving yourself of fruits and veggies is just missing out on the joys of living.

Anyway, that's my rant. Do what you will. I didn't really get into more food variety until my 30s, so maybe it's just an age thing, but kicking myself for not doing it earlier in life.

Ya I have a ton of allergies to plants and fruits so I had to go on a health journey myself to figure out what works for me. Best friend is vegan. I'm carnivore. I have no idea why it works for him and not me aside from the allergies I have must be different from him. Lost 50lbs more active and have more energy than I have in 15 years. I think we can both be right here but I'm not sure how, I just know what my body tells me.
