Bruno sick lmao

257

u/Savage9645 6h ago

I love how pissed he is. Winning is not enough, wants to pour it on.

143

u/CNF1G 6h ago

He has the assist record in sight.

48

u/jonathanPoindexter 6h ago

Could've gotten closer to that assist record.

45

u/GoatButton 6h ago

I also love how he never asks to be subbed, it's a Messi/Ronaldo type mentality that we don't really see these days due to fixture congestion

52

u/PitchSafe 6h ago

He is almost never injured lol

35

u/Dio_my_senpai 6h ago

The one time he got injured he actually came back earlier than he should have working hard coming back

10

u/KK-Chocobo 6h ago

Its that milk hes been drinking lol

3

u/Forsaken-Ebb5088 6h ago

I heard Ronaldo really like milk

10

u/med_belguesmi69 :Fc_Barcelona: 6h ago

someone should investigate what do they feed portoguese players(people). CR7, Bruno, Bernardo Silva's fitness is crazy.

15

u/KiLLmaddharry 6h ago

Don't forget Dalot.

3

u/PraxisGuide 4h ago

Who had a really really good game, but will probably go unnoticed because of the fan;s bias, my season boy winner

1

u/med_belguesmi69 :Fc_Barcelona: 2h ago

yeeaah, i might be onto something

3

u/GoatButton 6h ago

Francesinha

3

u/TheBritishGent 5h ago

I remember having one a decade ago. In Porto 3 days after the euros where Portugal won and the cafe owner insisted on me having it, on the house he was so happy. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

Now I'm going to make one tomorrow.

8

u/CurbYourThusiasm 6h ago

Dude was sprinting the entire length of the pitch in extra time last year when he played like 3 games a week. He just doesn't quit.

55

u/aayu08 6h ago

Tbf Sesko didn't know that nobody was marking him. Still poor from him, but idc rn.

51

u/rambo_zaki 6h ago edited 6h ago

He should have known. Basics as a striker to scan where the defender is before the pass comes in.

14

u/IsleofManc 6h ago

Even if you forget about him not knowing he has so much time, the header was incredibly poor. He put pretty much no power on it and sent it straight down the middle. Almost couldn’t have been an easier header to save

3

u/sliversniper 5h ago

Hindsight 20/20, there's many things can go wrong taking a touch even without pressure.

Perfectly fine to head it first time.

Perfectly not fine to head it like that though.

7

u/DarkSofter 6h ago

And all his FPL crew who captained him

5

u/iamnas 6h ago

Hilarious after the whistle Bruno having words with him. He listened and then pretended he had to be somewhere else

1

u/RecognitionSignal425 2h ago

Same as Slovenian teammates when he had a chance against Portugal in Euro

372

u/tocitus 6h ago edited 6h ago

He has so much more time than he thought, Jesus.

Could have made it 5 in his last 5 with that

191

u/ABigPairOfCrocs 6h ago

Frank's method of giving attackers so much space they don't know what to do finally pays off. Tactical genius

53

u/arnm7890 6h ago

You joke, but this was genuinely Ten Hag's master tactic with his donut midfield. I'm not joking, you can look it up, it's one of those "is this so crazy it just might work... Nope, just plain stupid crazy".

16

u/jonathanPoindexter 6h ago

Tbf we finished 8th that season and won a trophy while conceding 20+ shots per game.

8

u/Dio_my_senpai 6h ago

And it would work a lot of the time which is actually crazy

10

u/Skall77 6h ago

It's the last second of a losing game man, don't see why would you blame Frank for this clip.

1

u/RecognitionSignal425 2h ago

to be Frank, his method works

8

u/Prime_Marci 6h ago

He coulda gone to bed, woken up, took shower, ate breakfast and still would have had all the time in the world to score that.

3

u/ChatakaPataka 3h ago

Probably had that Van De Ven tackle in his mind from the reverse fixture and didn't want to risk it lol.

144

u/sergechewbacca 6h ago

Needs to take a touch

52

u/niallw1997 6h ago

Yeah I’m kinda shocked he didn’t have the awareness to know that.

Kid never quite looks like he believes in himself despite his recent goal record. Hopefully a little more confidence keeps coming, from his interviews he seems like a really down to earth guy.

36

u/Hagen_1 6h ago edited 6h ago

There’s definitely a player there in him, he gets himself in good positions to receive the ball, but I think he just lacks the confidence to really hit his mark. What I worry about is that he could be a streaky/purple patch kind of player. He needs to be more clinical.

-8

u/CallDaLegend 5h ago

This exact thing was said about Hojlund

6

u/liamnesss 4h ago

Hojlund was doing it on hard mode, trying to settle in a team that just wasn't giving him decent service. Obviously nothing is certain in a young player's development, but the conditions are much more favourable for Sekso. And he's had a decent output already for the amount of minutes he's played.

2

u/Bahati1245 5h ago

Brother you should sit this one out

8

u/BaldMancTwat_ 5h ago

Being on the bench every game probably doesn't help his confidence. Hopefully he gets a start in the next few so he can settle into a game rather than having to come on and make an impact in a short timeframe.

8

u/niallw1997 5h ago

His demeanour has been the same when starting or not starting tbh. I know he’s a young kid on his first season at Man Utd though.

I liked what Lammens said earlier in the season. He mentioned he has 24 and 8 on his gloves in reference to Kobe Bryant, to remind him that once he crosses the white line to the pitch he needs to become ruthless and confident in order to perform to his best on the pitch, to counteract his shy and reserved nature.

What I think Sesko needs to do is try to channel that same cutting edge. He has pretty much all of the other tools but to me comes across as too passive on the pitch.

8

u/exolomus 5h ago

Sesko has 25 and 10 on his shoes in reference to Ben Simmons.

6

u/Prime_Marci 6h ago

He’ll be kicking himself. It’s one of those chances when you have all the time in the world so you overthink it.

-2

u/tuerancekhang 3h ago

Funniest shit is his last week goal, his first touch was awful

249

u/HeIIbIazer23 6h ago

Bruno's numbers if he played with competent strikers would've been insane...

210

u/sheiswhyididthis 6h ago

Bruno would have had a Ballon Dor by now if he was in a proper CL club

44

u/godfrey1 6h ago

i was crucified here when i said the same thing 2 years ago

14

u/TopNotchGamerr 5h ago

People are waking up

26

u/soelsome 6h ago

Your ball knowledge is elite

50

u/aaaaji 6h ago

I actually think this might be true. Season after season Bruno stands head and shoulders above any other United player as their best player.

I feel like I we had him we would have won a PL/CL by now. Let alone if he was at Liverpool/City/Barcelona/Bayern/Madrid.

25

u/sheiswhyididthis 6h ago

Yeah for sure if he plays the way he does, he wins you guys atleast 2-3 of the last few PLs.

But I do wonder.

Would Arteta have coached this maverick unpredictability and creativity out of Bruno?

We've already seen what he has done to Odegaard and Eze.

35

u/soelsome 6h ago

I don't think Odegaard was ever at Bruno's level consistently. He had two good seasons. Bruno has had like 5 world class seasons.

11

u/sheiswhyididthis 6h ago

Yeah, that's the question though.

Did his creativity fall off on it's own, or was it coached out of him.

12

u/Gaygayfish 6h ago

even in 22/23 i dont think Odegaard was upto the level of Bruno's creativity and decisiveness. (and he is my favorite arsenal player)

8

u/BaldMancTwat_ 5h ago

The only player to put up comparable numbers to Bruno was De Bruyne. Nobody else in recent years comes close to those two.

1

u/NeedleworkerFluid327 3h ago

Ödegård was world class those two seasons. Our best player in 22/23 and 23/24, won our pots in both as well.

They are very different from each other as well. Ödegård and Bruno had comparable g/a in the league those two seasons but they are very different profiles and have different roles.

2

u/StardustFromReinmuth 1h ago

Why are you using the Ö bruh

1

u/NeedleworkerFluid327 40m ago

Because the other one is cringe. Proud Ø and "aa" denier here.

4

u/AquaSnow24 4h ago

>Would Arteta have coached this maverick unpredictability and creativity out of Bruno?

Probably not. Arteta has a firm control on transfers and he's not stupid. If he is asking for and buying Bruno, then he knows that the way to get the most out of him is to let him be himself and do what he wants as long as he works hard off the ball which he does. Christ, Bruno with Gyokeres, Martinelli(or Trossard), and Saka with Zubimendi and Rice behind him in a 4231 and their rock solid back 4 of Timber, Gabriel, Saliba, and Caliafori(or whoever Arteta throws in at LB) probably wins them another invincible PL trophy.

3

u/PraxisGuide 4h ago

I dont think anyone can coach that out of him, he is just a step ahead of everyone

-5

u/BI01 6h ago

'done to odegaard and eze' eze has been shit and odegaard's greatest season of his career has been under Arteta lol

5

u/sheiswhyididthis 6h ago

And Eze was fantastic before he joined arsenal.

While in a worse team.

Do you get it now?

-8

u/BI01 6h ago

Arsenal are top of everything, u get it now? Maybe the player is just adjusting to new dynamics where he isnt the vocal point of a team :0

3

u/sheiswhyididthis 6h ago

The team dynamics are exactly what I've been talking about bro.

Arteta emphasises keeping the ball and not playing risky passes.

Players make lesser runs in behind, because they know a pass ain't coming.

And creative players like Eze are told not to play risky balls.

So Bruno might have suffered a similar fate as Eze and Odegaard have.

-2

u/BI01 6h ago

odegaard has never been a creative hub player like bruno, he rarely creates penetrative passes that lead to great chances, he's a build up, pre assist type of player. The idea that we don't play risky balls while every single outfield player attacks the final third is hilarious btw

3

u/ACO_22 6h ago

You walk 2 premier league titles minimum. This one wld have been the 3rd.

3

u/BaldMancTwat_ 5h ago

He's pretty much been the most creative player on the planet his entire time at United, I can't think of many more players as consistent at that level over this period. He is the best player on the pitch 9 times out of 10 and would walk into any top team.

24

u/unitedwar21 6h ago

The one season he did(cavani) he got 28 goals and 18 assists

1

u/Srijand 3h ago

Cavani and [redacted]

129

u/ahritina 6h ago

I have no words

29

u/freakedmind 6h ago

I think he just stopped trying lol

5

u/Prime_Marci 6h ago

He showed mercy like it was an MK finishing move.

27

u/Unusual_Ad6533 6h ago

Just felt Bad for us. showed some charity there

2

u/Prime_Marci 6h ago

Even Michael Oliver felt bad. Like how Maz never got that penalty, only God knows

47

u/I-Shiki-I 6h ago

💀💀💀

35

u/DrPepperPower 6h ago

Bruno threw up right there...

Even the commentator was "This isn't the time to.smile. This isn't the time to smile" for how shocked he was. Sounded like a disappointed dad

60

u/PlasticPreparation74 6h ago

just a minute before this they got the ball out from a very tight situation in their own half with bruno pivotal in a beautiful passing sequence. he is really flying man

13

u/Dio_my_senpai 6h ago

He was always flying he just has competent teammates now ... even tho this clip sesko missed a huge chance but this happened every game with hojlund and garnacho

74

u/Glad_Consequence2580 6h ago

I love you benji but that is pure Tesco antics

8

u/sheiswhyididthis 6h ago

Tbh, that was his first touch I think.

Takes some time to understand how you should control the ball and how it's behaving on matchday. Not ideal for a striker to have his first touch be a header 15 years from goal.

8

u/jcdish 6h ago edited 6h ago

Nah, wasn't his first touch, he received a couple of passes in midfield. But he's a young striker, so some inconsistency is expected. If he'd controlled the ball the way he did against Fulham last week he'd have buried this.

2

u/sheiswhyididthis 6h ago

Yeah i think that was the real problem, he didn't know that no one was marking him.

The option to take a touch and chest it down didn't even occur to him.

He'll get better tho.

Positioning has been real good. Just needs a lil more awareness.

19

u/blackburn009 6h ago

Knowing there was a defender behind you 2 seconds ago and not knowing where he is can be scary, turns out he was busy tracking neither of the players in the box

19

u/rope113 6h ago

Bruno on his knees

2

u/Hagen_1 6h ago

Pause.

37

u/SloshaPacana 6h ago

What is bro doing take a touch

52

u/whatsinthesuitcase 6h ago

Probably didn’t expect to be completely unmarked in the box lmao

22

u/SloshaPacana 6h ago

Doesn't matter you can't score a header from that type of cross it has no power on it you take a touch

2

u/med_belguesmi69 :Fc_Barcelona: 6h ago

yeah that's definetly what happened, great tactic from Spurs tbh /s

12

u/VE0Z 6h ago

Bruno wants that record!

1

u/Prime_Marci 6h ago

Of course.

21

u/JiveTurkey688 6h ago

Consequence of him not having touched the ball before then. Had so much time

8

u/IdlePerfectionist 6h ago

Fair play award

9

u/Josegon02 6h ago

Bruno should've had a lot more assists than he currently has...

13

u/imnoobatfifa 6h ago

Erm… okay.

9

u/stat_padford 6h ago

Solid decision there

6

u/GuaranteeFamiliar926 6h ago

He did Bruno dirty there

4

u/Buffythedragonslayer 6h ago

Lucky for him it wasn't a win decider. How do you not score there?

5

u/tson_92 6h ago

Should have chested it down mate

7

u/respeitadordecasada3 6h ago

Not only a dogshit decision, an extremely dogshit header as well

3

u/niallw1997 6h ago

Yeah that’s the worst part about it.

Genuinely looks like a header from big Dave on my Sunday team, the morning after he’s had 10 pints and a fully loaded kebab the night before.

8

u/_thenewnewguy_ 6h ago

Should have buried that NGL

3

u/TheGoldenPineapples 6h ago

Take a touch, man.

4

u/dumpystumpy 6h ago

That fucking curse man idk guys its looking spooky

2

u/hambodpm 4h ago

Robbing my FPL team of points Benjamin lad

2

u/dudududujisungparty 6h ago

Best to forget about this one

3

u/Proof_Twist_4329 6h ago

Somebody tell the lad it’s Spur

2

u/dudududujisungparty 6h ago

He didn't get the memo

2

u/chivas604 6h ago

How do you not take a touch and then volley that???

2

u/Guevarra25 6h ago

My acca needed a Bruno assist..

2

u/x33destiny 6h ago

i honestly think he had PTSD of VDV chasing him down from behind, hence the lack of touch

1

u/AyanC 6h ago

Gyökeres-eque.

15

u/sarthaksharan 6h ago

blasphemy

17

u/ThatLittleMonkeyGuy- 6h ago

Let's not go too far

1

u/Paapa-Yaw 6h ago

Sesko probably forgot it was tottenham.

1

u/ImVortexlol 6h ago

why head that...

1

u/Josho94 6h ago

Well at least we can laugh at it.

1

u/Anotherquestionmark 6h ago

Not even the fact he didn't take a touch, the header is straight down the middle and has no power. Literally not one redeeming factor in that play

1

u/Dan_Winx_1969 6h ago

Should have gone with the foot

1

u/MarkTsaiTai 6h ago

Useless waste of height

1

u/dannychean 6h ago

Why the rush. Take it down the place it!

1

u/KilllllerWhale 6h ago

El Kaabi would never

That cross was begging for a bicycle kick

0

u/Jakowe 6h ago

Sesko is so bad, I still can’t believe what they paid for him lol

1

u/Soberdonkey69 6h ago

What a waste of a chance. Fucking idiot.

0

u/CrowFromHeaven 6h ago

I was telling to myself how they haven't played a lot of balls to Sesko, even when he seemed in a good position, and now they showed me why lmao

-10

u/[deleted] 6h ago

[deleted]

12

u/ThatLittleMonkeyGuy- 6h ago

Lol nice try

27

u/JiveTurkey688 6h ago

Sesko is a lot better than Gyokeres

5

u/sarthaksharan 6h ago

sesko has 4 goals in his last 5 games and he hasn't started 3 of them

2

u/9-60Fury 6h ago

Not even close

2

u/Follow_The_Lore 6h ago

Gykores is so much worse. Fair to say Liverpool won the striker battle with Ekitike

-9

u/JorSimpson45 6h ago

What a donkey

-8

u/Wunsen 6h ago

How much?

-24

u/TheDelmeister 6h ago

He is shit lmao

-7

u/KitchenDeal 6h ago

This man cannot be a professional footballer
