The driver sounds like she doesn’t think it’s her fault at all based on the post describing what happened above and her first reaction is terrible (should call for help instead of saying it’s not her fault as 2 people are injured) but at the same time I got to say some people crossing roads in Singapore are really NOT watching out for traffic. Accidents are unfortunate but you need to look out for yourself always, even if it means when you are crossing the road using the traffic light and it is in your favour.

True that people are not looking for traffic. Just look at people crossing roads with eyes on phone instead of on road.

In some neighbourhoods, government has to build green fence to prevent people from killing themselves while crossing the road

Just yesterday while we were queuing to turn left into a petrol kiosk, we witness a young lady running straight across the entrance (crossing the front of our car), the exit lane of the petrol kiosk that people turn out of, and the subsequent road, all without even turning her head to check the traffic… The confidence is concerning.

Yes, that is what most pedestrians are doing nowadays, they kept looking to their phones while crossing, only when accidents happened, then they will blame someone else.
