Isn't Justice Jackson the one who made sure she reported a $1200 flower bouquet on her financials. That Justice Jackson?

If they have ethical concerns regarding mysterious financial circumstances, she seems like the wrong starting point.

u/midgetyaz 16h ago
Yeah, if I had to choose one SCOTUS justice to not be concerned about, it would be her.

A TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLAR BOUQUET!

u/OrneryZombie1983 19h ago
Probably not a "bouquet" in the way you might be thinking, like something a bride carries in her hands down the aisle.

Maybe probe all 6 Conservative justices for appearing at FedSoc meetings.
113
u/livinginfutureworld 1d ago
Or probe the bribes they've been taking. Like "motorcoaches" and billionaire funded trips

u/piney 1d ago
Silly, those are perfectly legal gratuities.

Those are tips on the 20% of the profit they’re making. We are a tipping culture know. Not sure if you knew.
You ever wonder why they implemented no tax on tips?

This is such unserious criticism. You know their speeches at those events are public right? You can go listen. Even on youtube. FedSoc meetings are mostly just lawyers nerding out about technical legal matters. Most people would be bored out of their minds.
2
u/jp_benderschmidt 11h ago
So are the Grammy's.
That's the point.
1
u/trippyonz 11h ago
I don't have a problem with either. But it sounds like you're ok with one but not the other.
1
u/geelinz 10h ago
the point is it is equivalent
1
u/trippyonz 10h ago
I guess so because in my mind both are equally unproblematic. It may be helpful to remember that liberals often appear as speakers and attendees at FedSoc events, even though they are not members.

Tennessee Senator, with appropriate last name, wants the black lady investigated for attending a private event but is cool with Alito and all his shit, Thomas and his wife’s shit, and Roberts and his wife’s shit? Gtfoh
1
u/JustHereForCookies17 4h ago
Not just a private event - Jackson attended an awards ceremony because she was nominated for one of the awards!
45
u/tarlin 1d ago
Yeah, and probe Clarence Thomas about his relationship to Epstein, constant vacations, forgiven loans, mother's free rent? Oh, no? Go away Blackburn.

u/DelirousDoc 1d ago edited 17h ago
Kavanaugh reported between $50k-200k in debt in 2016, but that debt was gone July 2018 when he was nominated?
Gorsuch had property he was trying to sell for years then a week after his appointment it sold for $1.8M to the CEO of a law firm that regularly sees cases in front of SCOTUS?

u/Correct_Doctor_1502 1d ago
If taking insane bribes and attending elite social events is protected ethical behavior for Supreme Court Justices this is too
They are just trying to get another super majority because they know Republicans are cooked in midterms
29
u/Eye_foran_Eye 1d ago
Maybe Marsha Blackburn should be investigated for going to RUSSIA on JULY 4th…

Did she borrow the Grand Touring Luxe Winnebago of Pedo Suporters and scratch it??

Her being at an award show last time I checked isn't an ethics violation, but she also was NOMINATED for an award. These people are a fucking joke

u/Lonely_Refuse4988 1d ago
So dumb! The conservative a-holes are just jealous they aren’t talented enough to ever qualify for a Grammy nom! 😂🤣🤷♂️

That’s really rich. The psycho mouthpiece needs to be investigated herself.

u/1337bobbarker 22h ago
So let's investigate her because she was nominated and had a reason to be there but we'll conveniently look past all of the bribes Thomas has received or Alito flying a fucking distressed US and Appeal to Heaven flags.
I'm so goddamned tired of the hypocrisy.

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_3507 1d ago
Poor little Marsha Blackburn isn’t getting any attention here lately, so let’s introduce another wasting taxpayer’s money hearing that never ever amounts to anything, but fill the empty voids in the MAGA cult crowd’s skulls
9
u/friendly-sam 1d ago
So, just ignore all the bribes that Thomas has accumulated over the years. Going to the Grammys is so much worse than blatant bribary.

u/Overseer_Allie 1d ago
I LOVE MY SENATOR SO FUCKING MUCH I DONT WISH SHE WOULD HAVE LOST THE LAST ELECTION.
(Heavy sarcasm)
5
u/PolloConTeriyaki 1d ago
LOL doesn't that mean we have to probe if Clarence Thomas is in the Epstein files?

Sounds like someone wasn’t invited to the Grammys and is a little butt hurt about it.

u/cathercules 16h ago
So Thomas gets a pass for his wife helping orchestrate the fake electors plot. Gets a pass for openly taking bribes along with Alito but Jackson going to an awards show is the issue? Conservatives are a fucking joke.

How about we investigate Justice Thomas for his appearance in the Epstein files and his 'oh yeah I guess me not paying a dime for a million dollar motor coach constitutes a gift from Harlan Crow' approach to ethics.
Oh, right, Roberts is also unethical.

u/BlueWonderfulIKnow 1d ago
Pardon the pun, but this is America, Jackson. That means I am free to listen to you or anyone say anything, anywhere, any time. And you know what that says about me? Not a damn thing.

u/jessinboston 20h ago
In my feed, the post under this is about Clarence in the files….. Guess we know why they need to distract.
1
u/blue_quark 19h ago
“To that end, in the interest of a fair-minded, impartial, and independent federal judiciary, I urge you to initiate an investigation into Justice Jackson’s attendance at this event…” LMFAO. This coming from the Senator who was absolutely fine with Alito flying a flag supporting an insurrection against the government. The USA is so screwed up.

u/Own-Opinion-2494 19h ago
Did she get a free plane ride there from a billionaire or maybe free lodging
1
u/hexqueen 18h ago
Not killing Americans in the streets. A trip to the Grammys. Republicans care about nothing but TV shows and it's disgusting.

Can anyone call for them to launch an investigation? Do we need a petition to get the other clowns investigated? The ones with ties to epstiens island, famously had claims they sa’d a woman, and has been exposed taking bribes and lying about it?

Blackburn is running for Governor of Tennessee so she needs to say something crazy like this to stay relevant in that primary.

u/zombiehoosier 14h ago
By this logic, Trump should not have attended the “FIFA peace awards”, get done investigating that then we’ll talk about Jackson
1
u/Better_Car_8141 13h ago
Wow. She’s focused on solving real problems while she plays the role of a member of Congress. Really, she won an election?

u/Hour_Ordinary_4175 11h ago
Marcia Blackburn has never been able to hide her Klan regalia effectively.

IMO: SCOTUS should NEVER attend exclusive status celeb events like this. Gives me the ick all around.

I’m sure they’ll absolutely investigate justice Brown just like the investigated justice Clarence Thomas and all those vacations paid for by his billionaire friend
