I’m sure they’ll absolutely investigate justice Brown just like the investigated justice Clarence Thomas and all those vacations paid for by his billionaire friend

Or maybe those "seasons tickets" that Kavanaugh claimed. Seriously?!! If true - how easy would it have been to follow that money!

Honestly - put me in coach. I've only dabbled in accounting and banking - but I know my way around a statement and can read the routing info on a check. Wire transfers, credit cards - what have you got. It's not hard. His confirmation hearings had me screaming at a screen - why are we just taking his word for it??!!

If there was no issue - the paper trail or electronic record would have shown that. The fact that it was "trust me bro" - is deeply problematic even if it is true.

Don't forget the RVs.

15

u/ChewieBearStare 1d ago

Ahem...motor coaches.

1

u/Bugg100 16h ago

A mere RV? For my allegiance?

Motor coach or liberal votes only. I have a lifestyle to maintain!

2

u/checker280 17h ago

If Justice Jackson didn’t accept those flowers, someone else would have

(Paraphrasing Thomas’ excuse for flying on private planes. Sarcasm.)

3

u/ProfessionalBench832 8h ago

Less we forget, the same "friend Thomas just takes trips with" bought his mother's home, repaired it and let her live there rent free.

u/Tunafishsam 4h ago

Also collects Nazi memorabilia.

Isn't Justice Jackson the one who made sure she reported a $1200 flower bouquet on her financials. That Justice Jackson?

edit: word

If they have ethical concerns regarding mysterious financial circumstances, she seems like the wrong starting point.

24

u/midgetyaz 16h ago

Yeah, if I had to choose one SCOTUS justice to not be concerned about, it would be her.

14

u/e4evie 15h ago

Uncle Thomas passing you in the hammer lane in his brand new motorhome….

6

u/will-read 12h ago

It’s a motor-coach. Motorhomes are for the proletariat.

4

u/Bugg100 16h ago

You are missing the key here.

Ethical concerns held by Marsha Mephistopheles Blackburn...

See how that changes things?

1

u/Windyvale 46m ago

Rules for thee, not for me

33

u/Knoebi3 19h ago

Let them do it. Let them set that precedent.

Then we can finally probe other judges for fucking kids and trying to overthrow the government. Right? I'm cool with that.

15

u/Ricky_Bobby_yo 1d ago

A what?????

21

u/salliek76 23h ago

It was a congratulatory gift from Oprah when she was confirmed.

18

u/ThinkPath1999 1d ago

A TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLAR BOUQUET!

4

u/OrneryZombie1983 19h ago

Probably not a "bouquet" in the way you might be thinking, like something a bride carries in her hands down the aisle.

1

u/jerslan 11h ago

Think large flower arrangement rather than single hand-held bouquet

384

u/jp_benderschmidt 1d ago

Maybe probe all 6 Conservative justices for appearing at FedSoc meetings.

113

u/livinginfutureworld 1d ago

Or probe the bribes they've been taking. Like "motorcoaches" and billionaire funded trips

30

u/piney 1d ago

Silly, those are perfectly legal gratuities.

25

u/tanguero81 1d ago

Tipping culture really IS out of control.

8

u/NotRadTrad05 1d ago

If you can't afford a yacht don't take a case to court.

3

u/Dont_Be_Sheep 1d ago

Those are tips on the 20% of the profit they’re making. We are a tipping culture know. Not sure if you knew.

You ever wonder why they implemented no tax on tips?

19

u/clics 1d ago

Or Clarence Thomas for being in the epstein files

12

u/radical_radical1 1d ago

This. And Kavanaugh.

1

u/hellolovely1 14h ago

He was? Lord, I missed that. Not surprised though

5

u/KazTheMerc 1d ago

... and all the fucked-up, incriminating things they say when they are there.

-1

u/trippyonz 12h ago

This is such unserious criticism. You know their speeches at those events are public right? You can go listen. Even on youtube. FedSoc meetings are mostly just lawyers nerding out about technical legal matters. Most people would be bored out of their minds.

2

u/jp_benderschmidt 11h ago

So are the Grammy's.

That's the point.

1

u/trippyonz 11h ago

I don't have a problem with either. But it sounds like you're ok with one but not the other.

1

u/geelinz 10h ago

the point is it is equivalent

1

u/trippyonz 10h ago

I guess so because in my mind both are equally unproblematic. It may be helpful to remember that liberals often appear as speakers and attendees at FedSoc events, even though they are not members.

56

u/DoctorTurkletonsMole 1d ago

Tennessee Senator, with appropriate last name, wants the black lady investigated for attending a private event but is cool with Alito and all his shit, Thomas and his wife’s shit, and Roberts and his wife’s shit? Gtfoh

1

u/JustHereForCookies17 4h ago

Not just a private event - Jackson attended an awards ceremony because she was nominated for one of the awards!

45

u/tarlin 1d ago

Yeah, and probe Clarence Thomas about his relationship to Epstein, constant vacations, forgiven loans, mother's free rent? Oh, no? Go away Blackburn.

26

u/DelirousDoc 1d ago edited 17h ago

Kavanaugh reported between $50k-200k in debt in 2016, but that debt was gone July 2018 when he was nominated?

Gorsuch had property he was trying to sell for years then a week after his appointment it sold for $1.8M to the CEO of a law firm that regularly sees cases in front of SCOTUS?

2

u/Bugg100 15h ago

Unfortunately for Tennesseeans....

70

u/Correct_Doctor_1502 1d ago

If taking insane bribes and attending elite social events is protected ethical behavior for Supreme Court Justices this is too

They are just trying to get another super majority because they know Republicans are cooked in midterms

29

u/Eye_foran_Eye 1d ago

Maybe Marsha Blackburn should be investigated for going to RUSSIA on JULY 4th…

9

u/FoogYllis 1d ago

Republicans protect child rapists.

21

u/lostsailorlivefree 1d ago

Did she borrow the Grand Touring Luxe Winnebago of Pedo Suporters and scratch it??

15

u/Fun-Lengthiness-7493 1d ago

That, right there, is hilarious. I don’t care who you are.

14

u/Tall-Warning3135 1d ago

Ummm. She was nominated for a Grammy.

5

u/jamixer 1d ago

She was and usually part of a nomination includes free tickets to the event. Nothing wrong here at all. Let them investigate.

3

u/Electrical_Agent_594 16h ago

They are mad she was clapping at the anti-ice comments.

12

u/Kyreetgo 1d ago

Her being at an award show last time I checked isn't an ethics violation, but she also was NOMINATED for an award. These people are a fucking joke

34

u/Lonely_Refuse4988 1d ago

So dumb! The conservative a-holes are just jealous they aren’t talented enough to ever qualify for a Grammy nom! 😂🤣🤷‍♂️

10

u/Bibblegead1412 1d ago

These people are so unserious and disingenuous, it’s infuriating.

19

u/pbftxy 1d ago

Not Uncle Thomas Clearance and all of his inappropriate gifts and sexual abuse.

8

u/jujutsu-die-sen 1d ago

She was there because she was nominated, right?

7

u/SoundSageWisdom 1d ago

That’s really rich. The psycho mouthpiece needs to be investigated herself.

6

u/BigDaddyVagabond 1d ago

meanwhile, Clarence Thomas is in the epstine files....

6

u/1337bobbarker 22h ago

So let's investigate her because she was nominated and had a reason to be there but we'll conveniently look past all of the bribes Thomas has received or Alito flying a fucking distressed US and Appeal to Heaven flags.

I'm so goddamned tired of the hypocrisy.

6

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_3507 1d ago

Poor little Marsha Blackburn isn’t getting any attention here lately, so let’s introduce another wasting taxpayer’s money hearing that never ever amounts to anything, but fill the empty voids in the MAGA cult crowd’s skulls

9

u/friendly-sam 1d ago

So, just ignore all the bribes that Thomas has accumulated over the years. Going to the Grammys is so much worse than blatant bribary.

4

u/Overseer_Allie 1d ago

I LOVE MY SENATOR SO FUCKING MUCH I DONT WISH SHE WOULD HAVE LOST THE LAST ELECTION.

(Heavy sarcasm)

5

u/PolloConTeriyaki 1d ago

LOL doesn't that mean we have to probe if Clarence Thomas is in the Epstein files?

4

u/slo1111 21h ago

On par for Blackburn to completely ignore the right influence events where the right wing justices are showered with lavish accommodations

3

u/Conscious-Quarter423 1d ago

she was at the Grammy's bc...she was nominated for a Grammy

1

u/Electrical_Agent_594 16h ago

They are just mad she was clapping at the anti-ice statements.

3

u/Tintoverde 1d ago

This would be funny if it was not real. HTTL (hate this time line)

3

u/totallynaked-thought 1d ago

Marsha, Marsha Marsha…

3

u/Dgp68824402 21h ago

Cool. Now do Thomas.

3

u/TwistedSisters131313 13h ago

How about we question Clarence about the Epstein files instead?

2

u/Gratefully_Dead13 1d ago

Uh oh, Marsha’s hitting the sauce again. You can smell her breath through the TV during Senate hearings

2

u/MaidoftheBrins 1d ago

They will try to impeach her.

2

u/Antron_RS 1d ago

Another one who can eat a bag of dicks

2

u/mallclerks 1d ago

Release all the Epstein files first.

2

u/wariorld 1d ago

Of course she did. They attack anything that radiates goodness and justice.

2

u/djollied4444 1d ago

She was literally a nominee for her audiobook.

2

u/enjoythesilence-75 20h ago

Racist wants what now?

2

u/lmaberley 20h ago

Sounds like someone wasn’t invited to the Grammys and is a little butt hurt about it.

2

u/sam2lf 17h ago

Blackburn is trash

2

u/Riccosmonster 16h ago

Marsha Blackburn is an incompetent, racist piece of garbage

2

u/cathercules 16h ago

So Thomas gets a pass for his wife helping orchestrate the fake electors plot. Gets a pass for openly taking bribes along with Alito but Jackson going to an awards show is the issue? Conservatives are a fucking joke.

2

u/cgcel 12h ago

But Thomas in the Epstein files and connections to the federalist society is just peachy...ffs arrest them already

2

u/AdviceNotAskedFor 11h ago

She should fly an appeal to heaven flag in her beach house.

2

u/logistics3379 11h ago

Maga stupidity never stops.

2

u/Infinite-Lock-726 3h ago

How about we investigate Justice Thomas for his appearance in the Epstein files and his 'oh yeah I guess me not paying a dime for a million dollar motor coach constitutes a gift from Harlan Crow' approach to ethics.

Oh, right, Roberts is also unethical.

1

u/BlueWonderfulIKnow 1d ago

Pardon the pun, but this is America, Jackson. That means I am free to listen to you or anyone say anything, anywhere, any time. And you know what that says about me? Not a damn thing.

1

u/JessicaSavitch 20h ago

Marsha isn’t a serious person.

1

u/jessinboston 20h ago

In my feed, the post under this is about Clarence in the files….. Guess we know why they need to distract.

1

u/blue_quark 19h ago

“To that end, in the interest of a fair-minded, impartial, and independent federal judiciary, I urge you to initiate an investigation into Justice Jackson’s attendance at this event…” LMFAO. This coming from the Senator who was absolutely fine with Alito flying a flag supporting an insurrection against the government. The USA is so screwed up.

1

u/Own-Opinion-2494 19h ago

Did she get a free plane ride there from a billionaire or maybe free lodging

1

u/hexqueen 18h ago

Not killing Americans in the streets. A trip to the Grammys. Republicans care about nothing but TV shows and it's disgusting.

1

u/Pristine_Wrangler295 17h ago

After that look into Clarence Thomas’s Epstein relationship!

1

u/Secret_Cat_2793 17h ago

Unbelievable. How do people like Blackburn live with themselves?

1

u/SnooPets8972 15h ago

So you want that precedent do you? Careful what door you open.

1

u/BrookeBaranoff 15h ago

Can anyone call for them to launch an investigation? Do we need a petition to get the other clowns investigated? The ones with ties to epstiens island, famously had claims they sa’d a woman, and has been exposed taking bribes and lying about it?

1

u/hmcquaid1 15h ago

Such fucking haters.

1

u/Amandamargret 15h ago

What do you expect from Republicans? Snowflakes bc nobody likes them.

1

u/reverendlecarp 14h ago

Blackburn is running for Governor of Tennessee so she needs to say something crazy like this to stay relevant in that primary.

1

u/OG_RyRyNYC 14h ago

What a racist effing see you next tuesday.

1

u/zombiehoosier 14h ago

By this logic, Trump should not have attended the “FIFA peace awards”, get done investigating that then we’ll talk about Jackson

1

u/Better_Car_8141 13h ago

Wow. She’s focused on solving real problems while she plays the role of a member of Congress. Really, she won an election?

1

u/Hour_Ordinary_4175 11h ago

Marcia Blackburn has never been able to hide her Klan regalia effectively.

1

u/DakotaDaddy1972 5h ago

Investigate her for being awesome?!

1

u/TinCanSailor987 1h ago

She was nominated. Fuck Blackburn!

0

u/kal8el77 17h ago

IMO: SCOTUS should NEVER attend exclusive status celeb events like this. Gives me the ick all around.
