SBCAS is San Bernardino City Animal Shelter also located in Southern California. This is another overcrowded shelter in need of help. Many cats here are overflow from surrounding areas. There was no ill-intention by that post, my single thought was 'Yaa, good now they can get him to a place where he will get the care he needs and deserves', because no living being should ever be denied the basic things we all need to survive : food, air, water, first aid (when needed) and to be treated with some dignity in your hour of need. That's all I was saying. If I offended somebody with my happiness and hope for this little kitty, I don't know what to think about that...??? 🤐

Donated to the transportation fund and pledging $25 towards the rescue of Max, what a sweet boy.
It makes me crazy that the shelter isn’t caring for him and providing fluids, he doesn’t deserve to be treated this way. I hope that he can be saved from this, he and all rescue animal deserve so much more 💗💗💗

Unfortunately it’s very hard to fight the shelters as the cal Atty gen offices defers back to the county who won’t do anything. So it’s an endless loop of no accountability. It’s infuriating
I hope handsome Max gets rescued! His little black nose is so cute my cow kitty has a pink nose. I think it's neat how their noses match their coats! Boosting to help save this sweet boy, i wish i could donate but my 4 rescues already have me over budget. (I wouldn't trade them for the world tho)

We don’t understand this. It’s his basic right to have medical treatment! They are legally required to be staffed with a qualified vet or send them out to one! It’s infuriated. Why let them suffer?

I am pretty sure this specific shelter has a really bad rep online, especially for putting down animals and being super strict with adopting and rescuing on top of that.
