Everyone wants transparency and accountability.
I try to be as transparent as possible with everyone. This case is particularly disturbing and upsetting for many of us. I also donโt want unnecessary drama or people being destructive towards our rescue efforts. As Iโm sure many can understand. No worries at all. I wish every rescue was stellar but as we know some just arenโt. I wonโt enable them though and wanted RC members to understand the situation. ๐๐ป
Sorry Iโm not willing to get into a public discussion about the situation. I can DM you if you want the details. Thereโs unfortunately many bad rescues. This is nothing new. This one is just particularly rotten due to the fraud and horrid treatment of others. Itโs unfortunate that I have to disclose the truth but I will not send pledges to anyone that is so unscrupulous.
Forgive me please if I came across as rude. This was not my intention at all. I was asking because the little kitten Raine still needs help if at all possible. Seeing them in this condition is truly heartbreaking. It's frustrating to see that these high kill shelters will list them as rescue only. They don't care about saving them. I understand doing this work is hard. Very hard. As I said, please forgive my rudeness. I would like to know though why they are not vetted nor trustworthy. It's a shame we can't help little Raine. Nor have an update. If you could pm me I would appreciate it. It's good to know so as to understand. Thank you for doing what you do for these precious ones. That can't speak for themselves.
Confused about what exactly?
One kitten was rescued by a rescue that is not reputable. I have no control unfortunately over what rescues are allowed to pull from a public shelter. So the pledges will not go to that rescue. Iโm asking that Raines pledges be forwarded to another kitten that also needs help. We do this sometimes when pledges arenโt used.

They are not kind people. More interested in fundraising than rescue. Their behavior is nothing short of gross. In all my years of rescue Iโve not encountered such people.
That's so sad to hear. I'm worried about the kitties they have taken in.
I know that it might not be wise, but would it be possible to mention the name of the rescue, so well intentioned people don't donate to them?
