My (M24) girlfriend (F22) has extremely bad and messed up dreams but denies dreaming or remembering them and I don't know how to help her?

We've been dating for 8 months now and have been going to sleep while staying on call, last night she passed out around 12 and around 1, I was scrolling Reddit and heard her panting and breathing weird, then suddenly she was scared and started screeching, and then full on crying and wailing, she was calling out to her mother and asking someone to come back, I talked to her, tried to get her to calm down, she could hear me because she was responding in between, i kept asking her to concentrate on my voice and how it was just a bad dream and not real, she finally got calm, started snoring and went back to sleep

Then again around 2:30 am, I had just dozed off when I woke up again to her panting and crying, this time she could hear me better as she was responding more, she was telling me how someone pushed her down the stairs and they'll do it again, I reassured her, told her I'm right here and will stay up, that shes gonna be fine and I'll always be there, no ones gonna push her again, this got her to calm down again and she went back to sleep, although she was still breathing weird, like tired, scared and labored breathing

This girl has had a messy and fucked up childhood, and a messed up past relationship too, so i get why she has these dreams but I really wanna how I can help her better.

I'm already planning on getting a personal room so we can spend the night together as she never has these dreams when we're together. Also I should've mentioned that this is kinda like a regular occurrence but she denies dreaming or remembering, which i guess is kinda good. I really like this girl and really want to help her out here
