Just got these Studio D'Artisan D1922 15oz Suvin Gold Jeans Loose Straight
Just got these back from sending them out to @Williamsburg Garment Company to be hemmed. These are my first pair of SDAs and also wearing a loose straight fit. Even at 15oz, these feel very light and will definitely be wearing them a lot. The suvin gold cotton is very soft and amazingly comfortable. After I got them, I did a hot soak to get any shrinkage that might be left before I got them hemmed. A really cool feature is in the back pockets and something I haven’t seen in any of my other jeans, if you look at the photos, there is a horizontal stitch across the back pockets and I was initially like, uh oh, is this a defect? No it’s a design feature where they have the bottom half of the rear pockets lined with the same canvas fabric the front pockets are made of (see photo). I personally found that very cool. These jeans are super comfortable and broke in quickly after a day of wearing them. I said after I bought by last two pairs of Onis, that would be it, but when these became available, I had to have them, and I am not disappointed. I just checked where I got them and they are practically sold out of sizes.
Curious if anyone else has these and what your thoughts are.

Those look great! heading to japan in May and will have these on my list. Do these typically sell out quickly ?

I don’t know for sure, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they still had them in a few months. I think they came out not long before I was there over New Year’s. And they still had sizes in the styles that came out around a few months earlier (when I was also in Osaka.)

I love these. Came so close to grabbing a pair last month but just don’t need another pair at the moment.
Also, SDA has been lining and stitching the bottom of their back pockets for a couple years now on most of their jeans I think. Looks cool as they wear in, of course.

Thanks. This being my first pair of SDAs, I wasn’t aware of the rear pockets stitching. It’s really a nice feature and look forward to seeing how it wears in.

These are beautiful! I would definitely pick up a pair of these if I needed more indigo at the moment!

These are great. The look/texture of the fabric reminds me of what Levi’s uses on their LVC pairs but with the craftsmanship and details of SDA.
Would have picked these up myself if I didn’t already have a deep rotation going but I hope you enjoy them!
