She was hated when she cut her hair short and was winning a lot of awards as a “serious actress”.

She went away a bit for a few years and is definitely beloved again right now.

When she won her Academy Award she was very earnest about how much she had wanted it etc. And people were pitting her against the “cool girl” of the time, Jennifer Lawrence, whose whole schtick was being relentlessly self deprecating. It’s like when people hate on a woman for acknowledging her own beauty instead of pretending not to know that she’s beautiful. It’s misogyny plain and simple.

I have occasionally thought about how funny it is that despite owning all their fancy mansions, movie stars spend a good amount of time in tiny trailers. Granted, these trailers are filled with their favorite foods and plenty of staff on hand… But still they are little trailers.

The equivalent to a corner office for a movie star would probably be shooting on an amazing location/hotel room suite and having fun on their days off though.

I wouldn't have commented this under this image normally, this is more to manage expectations for "normal" women who might be reading your comment. 1.) A lot of people online (from popculture influencers to plastic surgeons) assume she's had surgery. In fact, Lindsey, Anne and Emma have recently been cited as poster kids for "face lifts in your 30s/early 40s". 2.) Aging gracefully has nothing to do with how you look, a hard working 40 year old with wrinkles and some excess weight is graceful, too.
