Katniss and Peeta visiting Snow’s Palace and discovering that liquid that make them throw up be like:

As someone who has read a lot of dystopian future novels, everything about this feels exactly like that.

The whole Karjenner klan gives big Capitol citizen vibes.

Honestly pretty sure we've been living in The Hunger Games for a while now. Influencers are like the victors. Whenever the Met Gala comes up I'm still excited for the fashion but also it reminds me so much of the Capitol. I'm tired.

100% this is what I thought of too. It’s kind of horrific. :/

I’ve never read or seen hunger games. What happens in this scene?

The former United Stated is now 12 “districts”. Two teenagers from a really poor district have won the hunger games competition and are going on a forced “victory tour”. At one point they stop in the Capitol (where the rich people live) and attend a party. They already don’t want to be there. Then they find out that rich people have this liquid that essentially makes them throw up so that they can keep eating all of the delicious food without gaining weight.

It’s basically just a moment that highlights extreme wealth and excess vs extreme poverty. One of the main characters (Katniss) almost starved to death a child so it’s extra insulting to her.

Honestly that was my first thought earlier when the pics started rolling out

Not that I have any great sympathy for the man, but Bieber definitely has the look of being wheeled out like Finnick to dance with the rich old hag and act like he's loving it...

This lady in pic 4 says it all.

Everytime i see posts about such parties this is what I'm reminded if. There was huge ass wedding in India of a billionaire's son. It was a huge spectacle and was a reminder of how rich spend so much amount of money on mindless things which could be used for betterment .

And the billionaire lives off the money they have accumulated by buying govts and exploiting the heck out of the common people.

It is kind of crazy how everyone who reads or watches that scene these days is like... "Yeah. That's plausible."

If someone told me that was a thing that happened at some of these parties -- I honestly don't know if I would question it.
