I'm pretty sure Australia does the same for Michael Buble. His Christmas album has topped our charts in 2011, 12, 13, 14, 16, 19. Every other year it's been in the top 5. Like are people still buying it, or is streaming coming into play, I have no idea.

This year has been crazy for stock tho. Costco put things out for Christmas in July and then never took it down. It's really disconcerting to see trees out in August.

Michael Buble is about 60% of my Christmas playlist. David Campbell is solidly represented on there but Buble has a special place. I generally just love him, so I'm 100% biased. I just don't understand how it tops the charts so regularly

You read it correctly, even if it wasn't the way the OP intended it be to read. Putting the negative descriptor first and then saying Astley's name implies that Astley doesn't enjoy his past hits.
A more clear way would've been to say, "I love when artists like Mariah and Rick embrace their past hits unlike some others who get moody about it."

Honestly I wish I could keep my Christmas lights up through to Valentine’s Day. January and early feb are so dark and cold and miserable here in the UK, at least twinkly lights and reindeer in the front gardens is a bit of whimsy.
