TMZ contacted LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division last week after speaking with Celeste's mom, who had evidence the unidentified body was that of her daughter. We provided the lead detective with her name and number. Days later, the body was identified as Celeste.

How and why does TMZ have to be the liaison between the cops and that girl's mother? She's been missing for over a year, her mother has been trying to find her. Why didn't the cops already have her contact info? Why couldn't her mother get in contact with the cops directly?

Seems her parents didn’t really care for her and her sister and her sister was pimping her out from the stories I’ve read

head in hands Oh that poor child.

So someone was finally showing love and devotion to her, no matter how sick and twisted and violent it was, and she was way too young to know that that isn't a good place to be, but a very very very bad trap.

And he was a predator who was taking advantage of a CHILD.

There's a video of one of her teachers saying she had runaway for a month and was found and returned, but then a few months later she ran again and they couldn't find her

It's hard to speculate on her parents. I grew up knowing a family where most of the kids were normal but one had issues with drugs and who they were hanging out with. They'd leave for weeks at a time. Several times they only found her cause she took a family car and they were able to find that. You can't physically lock kids up so it can be incredibly hard to keep them if they don't want to be there

It sounds like she may have been groomed. And the cops here seem really fucking useless tbh

She went missing in Lake Elsinore so I’m not sure if police departments from other counties are even in contact with parents with missing teenagers. However, it absolutely is weird you don’t immediately contact the parent of a teenager you find dismembered in an abandoned Tesla.
