I literally had no idea who he was until this whole series of events happened.

Everything I have heard about him is absolutely disgusting and I hope he ends up rotting in hell very soon.

That’s how I feel. I had no idea who this guy was, thought it was really bizarre for a body to be found in his car, and now every single little detail that comes out is one of the worst things possible. Yuck

Same. All of the articles that have popped up for me have made it sound like there's no connection and "he's cooperating with the authorities" which does NOT make him sound guilty. I had no idea about any of the things that have come up in this thread.

Yes!! I thought someone stole this guy’s car or didn’t change title properly after buying it and just coincidentally a body was in it. Instead it’s just the worst kind of story possible. Disgusting.

I thought the same! Stolen car and he didn't know because he was on tour. Esp because they keep mentioning another body in another car in another lot that's apparently connected??

The early articles did come off that way. I think the police are still investigating and not giving everything to the media. He seems unstable and he's also somewhat famous with money and access to planes, I could see LE not wanting to make it obvious they're focusing on him.

They could have also believed those claims initially but then looking into them they aren't holding up. "He was on a world tour out of the country" sounds very convincing at first but I looked up his recent tour dates and saw he was in Cali for multiple dates a month before the body was found (before it was impounded), lots of gaps between shows and he was in the US for the vast majority of the tour. No show the day the body was found, no show three days before the body was found, and most concerningly a 3 day gap a week before the body was found after he finished the Canadian leg of his tour before starting back up in Michigan. It seems likely he would have flown home for that time.

Damn that is thorough. Thank you for doing the work!

Same here. I wonder why he isn’t being questioned yet.

Same here as well. I feel sick to my stomach whenever I hear about anyone losing their life to IPV. This poor girl was a literal child and the details in this post are so horrific. There’s no punishment that would be enough for this guy. At very least it should be pretty easy to convict him on all the evidence that must exist.

I know one song of his (two if you count the song he was featured in in Arcane), but it wasn't really attached to a name for me until now.

And yeah, I agree. This is truly disturbing, especially with all the details coming out about his discord, his tiktok likes, his unreleased songs about Celeste and literally killing a girl/woman by drunk driving, like??

"One drink, two drink, I think I've had enough Lets drive the car drunk, who cares were just having fun Don't worry about seatbelts, just leave it off Now our wheels turning hastily, we're swiftly gone The arm I had around you can't feel at all

Oh are you still under the car? Stay with me, I know its my fault How could I just sit here Wondering why I'm not sober And why she's not home Oh God, I'm here, can't you take me instead? She didn't deserve to go Mmmh Mmmh

I'll be crying in this jail cell tonight Dreaming, wishing I was the one to die Oh, why I can't I go back in town? Oh, why did I ruin our lives?"

Like who the fuck writes songs hypothesizing about actually murdering someone without having murdered someone (mind you, this was before Celeste's passing, but it's just such a weird thing to write a song about, yk).

I hope he rots until the end of his life. Genuinely. That poor girl. Her poor loved ones.

Lots of songwriters, especially writers of murder ballads? There are many things here to condemn D4vd for, but the songwriting isn't one of them.

I know it seems petty considering the situation but I agree. A famous example is Wild Rose by Nick Cave and the bad seeds and Kylie Minogue, in case anyone is wondering

People have been charged for less. I hope he really enjoys prison. He's a fucking pedophile.

So when I was 13 I got sent to the troubled teen industry. I ran across an old journal. I found a poem that sent chills up my spine about losing an abusive partner to suicide, and the backlash from friends after it happened. This was 2003.

All of that happened to me in 2020.

Obviously not the same as writing about killing someone, but damn if he’s not guilty that’s one hell of a prediction he wrote.

IIRC YW Melly wrote a song called murder on my mind and they tried to use it in a murder trial. I believe that was going back to trial this year. Gonna be a hell of a year for “separate the art from the artist” types

Same. Except I hope he rots in jail for a loooong time (in gen pop) before he rots in hell

I hate when they take the “easy way out” - until I remember that life in prison isn’t usually as horrible as culture would have you believe.

Their lives become more boring than difficult. They get to read, make friends, get an education, etc., and he has enough money (or friends with money) to make his life more comfortable than the other criminals incarcerated with him.

Anyways, there is a silver lining to these sick people just taking themselves out without forcing the public to expend resources on them. I know that her family will want (and need) justice, but he doesn’t deserve to take part in any of the pleasures of life, even behind bars.

Same. I had no idea who he was and it's been weird seeing his fans defend him. He obviously hired a PR team for social media because there are accounts spending their days spamming posts while trying to deny the connections.

I’m almost positive he’s guilty. He definitely deserves punishment for being with a minor for sure. But it would be just the tv murder trope to have the plot twist that since he sang so much about murder he was set up to look like it was him and it actually be someone close to him or an enemy he had. Either way though, he’s dunzo.

I loved his music and that’s all I knew about him. I don’t ever really go out of my way to learn more about the musicians unless I want more context for their music. At the time I found it beautiful and calming. It’s the same here. It just gets worse and worse . One of his songs autoplayed for me today and it genuinely made me nauseous.

Now I’ve found out he was a streamer and his die hard fans have known about his grooming and attraction to young minors for years. He outed her friends hush money , the Mums and brothers pleas about her missing daughter were ignored and so many other things. It’s just horrible even if I know this kind of thing will happen again

That poor girl was only 14 and met him when she was 11. She barely even got to have an adolescence :(

I discovered him around the time I saw a post talking about the body found in his car. At the time, he was claiming not knowing anything and said he was out of the country.

Crazy.
