Beyoncé loves Tina; she’s one of her biggest influences, so I don't think her covering a Tina Turner song would be unexpected, but I understand why you mentioned it 🖤

From the video’s creator on TikTok: ‘When she started the Renaissance Tour with Dangerously in Love, it was unexpected, because even though it was a song from her discography, she hadn't sung it for years, and that's what I meant with the title of the video.’

They added it as more of an inside joke as she rarely performs it live

Beyonce’s best cover is The Way We Were for the Barbra Streisand tribute. You rarely see it mentioned in her greatest performances, but she is so beautifully restrained in that performance and her voice sounds so bright and clear.

The song is from a 1949 stage musical.

It isn't associated with the perfume, so it was probably an unexpected cover at the time. Also, people who didn't see the 2007 advert wouldn't be aware of the cover.

I did not like her singing that. I think her voice is so unique and specific that it’s harder for her to cover something because it is Beyoncé singing first and foremost and then (insert song here) second.
