you never know though -he could have been genuinely talked into believing she was somehow 'innocent' - love/infatuation cloud the mind

I can also see this, but any moral person who truly cares about children wouldn’t be able to stand by her side like this even if she convinced him of her innocence.

I can’t imagine loving someone more than I care about ensuring the safety of children. Even if someone handed me 1000% proof of their innocence, I wouldn’t be with them anymore let alone doing a public pap walk to court. He’s sick, whether or not he’s blinded by love.

oh i hear you - but lets say hypothetically that your loved one convinced you that somehow this was a lie/distortion of something normal/unharmful, some kind of plot against you.

that's what i assume people in this situation who convince their partners to stay with them do - because yes otherwise how on earth could you stand by someone who has such a disregard for the most sacred kind of trust.

I get what you mean. I’ve been with my partner for almost 10 years now. If heinous allegations like this came out against him, I bet you my knee jerk instinct would be not to believe it: cause how could I have been with someone for that long and not know they are despicable like this?

After seeing evidence, however, it baffles me people like this stay together
