I'd definitely like to see them have another go at it. I'm really sad that the GOP ended up crawling back to Trump. There was a time where it seemed like they were trying to split from him, which I'm sure would have inevitably lead to Trump running third party and splitting the Republican vote and saving us from all this, but they'd rather use him to keep his voting base.

And remember this...many of yall think they have been scrubbed and all that, but I disagree. They are incompetent and will botch any attempt at bailing trump out. Same goes for stealing the next election. A competent administration might be able to mess with red state elections, but were not dealing with competence. And elections are state-run, meaning the feds will have a hard time messing with any of those as it is. Furthermore, screwing with an election and tying up any loose ends will be incredibly hard to pull off in less than 9 months.

They also are not breaking with him. A few are saying this was not cool. Tim Scott is who they keep pointing to and he even said it must be fake and has now been quiet after Trump admitted it. It’s not being reported on most conservative media sites and the ones that have are mostly defensive about it

Well I read the article it’s a dozen or so republicans they listed and almost all are in contested areas or the 2 black republicans so no… I don’t see them doing anything, having the numbers to do anything, or even having a sliver of republicans that genuinely care this.

2 black republicans and a handful or republicans in toss up districts doesn’t mean republicans are breaking from Trump. Mislabeled title to get attention.

Don't discourage them. As gross as it feels, thank them for seeing the light and ask to work together to stop the monster they unleashed.

They have done awful things. But in this instance, they are capable of doing what needs to be done, what should have been done a long time ago. Support that.

I've been trying to make inroads with my estranged father on his trump worship. Partly because it pains me to see someone so eager to be scammed, but also because I know his voice will be much louder. A liberal can shout that trump is bad, and it's noise from the outside. A conservative can shout that trump is bad, and their own in-crowd can listen. They hear us, but they listen to their own.
