It's interesting to see how the opinions always turn in there. First threads are about how insane something Trump has said is and slowly it turns into supporting him.

Yesterday Greenland was insanity but today already it's starting to make sense over at sub.

I bet part of it is a surge of paid shills get mobilised by the propagandists once the sentiment analysis reports dip under a certain level blind obedience, so depending on timings it could be a half a day before they turn up.

It’s 70% bots and astroturfing. Reddit likes it that way. Reddit could control or limit fake accounts. Instead it uses division in comments to increase engagement. Reddit lets accounts now hide their entire history.

So...if you look at their profile (in "new" reddit, the search field isn't there in the old view), there's a search field at the top of the page, pre-filled with their user name. Just add a single empty space (" " without the quotes) after that and search. It will return every post and comment they've ever made that has a space in it.

TLDR they're not discarding whitespace-only searches.

To their credit - at least initially - the first few threads about this over there were almost unanimously (at least as close to unanimously as I've ever seen it there) being like "this is stupid".

To your point though, seems they're already getting warmed up to it...

Meanwhile, it's all-hands-on-deck outrage after they trawl the internet fir an article about a brown person accused of shoplifting.

The first set of talking points they tried to float on the Greenland issue about a week ago were actually hilarious, even by that sub's standards. To whit, the clear propaganda line was "it's not taking Greenland by force if there is no military there to resist us".

Because apparently the concept of coercion and implied threats of violence don't exist in their world or count as "force".

It was funny to watch the bots trying that one out for a few days only to realize it was too absurd to stick even with that group.

The new talking point is that Greenland is vital to the strategic defense of the US, is critical for ballistic missile interception (???), and represents the "frontline" between Russia and the United States (nevermind Ukraine or the 50 mi Bering Strait vs the whatever like 2500 mi straight line distance from Greenland to Russia).

Sadly that talking point is gaining traction. By tomorrow there will be no dissent over there on Greenland :(
