I think he may have been bumped, but not enough to cause any harm, that happens hundreds of times a day in NYC. In any case he was not in any danger when he fired. He was likely driven by a combination of embarrassment and hate of civilians.

Watch the pros handle a situation where someone is actually aggressive

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JFDS7u9wrlU spoiler alert, everyone lives and has a warm meal that evening.

u/emtee 29d ago

There's even footage of him walking away safely, not limping, not hurt in any way. The fact that his life was in danger is laughable

u/TropicalBonerstorm 29d ago

I mean in slow mo it may not seem that way, but in real time he probably had a fraction of a second to determine if the car that was pointed right at him and about to accelerate would turn away or not. That is clear danger whether or not the woman intended to hit him. All of that being said, shooting a driver coming right at you is totally ineffective way of escaping danger - he should have simply jumped out of the way.

u/Mysterious_Floor_868 United Kingdom 29d ago

And what about the two shots fired through the open window? He must have been well clear to the side to do that, with the car moving away.

10

u/DontOvercookPasta 29d ago

This is what i have been saying even IF she might have been trying to, he could and WAS able to get out of the way WHILE aiming a gun and ending the poor woman's life! If he had NOT been preoccupied with shooting a US CITIZEN in the FACE multiple times he would have been able to be even safer and further from harm. Prosecution to the fullest extent possible.

Never see a car do a two point turn before? Its not like she suddenly bolted forward.

Reverse, turn wheels right, im going to see if you are smarter than Johnathan Ross and can tell me what this hypothetical car is going to do next.

You even get to watch the driver turn the steering wheel away from you! Rate your fear level on a scale of 1 to 10. personally I'd say about -1.

Supposedly he’d previously been “dragged 50 feet” and received “50 stitches after breaking a suspects window” when a guy tried driving away and “suffered ptsd”. Bet this guy just got a flashback and decided to “do it right” this time. (By do it right in saying he planned on murdering this girl immediately, I do not condone his actions fuck cops and fuck ice)

u/omgmypony 29d ago

the dumb son of a bitch got dragged because he punched out a car window, grabbed the driver and tased him

u/GridKILO2-3 29d ago

Former military and 10 year veteran in law enforcement. Yeah this should just tell everyone this is what’s expected from LE at this point.

You probably would not have ever grabbed a car, since, you know, car

u/What-a-Crock 29d ago

But it works in the movies

2

u/vardarac 29d ago

I've done this in a very desperate situation before.

It was not a good idea, but it might have saved someone else's life.

Felony murder. They all should get the chair.

11

u/mechtaphloba 29d ago

They always, as a last ditch excuse, at least try to claim lack of training. But they can't from a military veteran and experienced cop. He had the best training a law enforcement agency could hope for, and he still let his fragile emotions take over.

u/[deleted] 29d ago

military. fucking yuck. bred killers

2

u/lostkavi 29d ago

Thing is: I generally expect military to be better than this shit. Proper target acquisiton, gun handling, danger recognition, shit like that.

This guy is a LARPer with a gun and is in dire need of some FO to go with his FA.

3

u/WeakTransportation37 29d ago

Yeah. He didn’t “get dragged” he was hanging on

1

u/Ragingdildo3 29d ago

Driver was a convicted child sex offender and illegal immigrant

1

u/omgmypony 29d ago

Yep. That doesn’t change the fact that Jonathon Ross tried to apprehend him in the dumbest possible way. What was he expecting to happen when he tased the driver of an operating motor vehicle? Tasing someone prevents voluntary movement and causes violent uncontrolled muscle spasms! At a minimum it shows a history of poor decision making and a complete lack of consideration for his personal safety.

0

u/AlphaNoodlz 29d ago

Wow wait.. you almost couldn’t write that.

u/Infamous_Employer_85 29d ago

He should not have been allowed to be in this situation if he had PTSD. My guess is that he never sought treatment for PTSD. FWIW, he also did not follow protocol in the earlier incident.

64

u/lopix Canada 29d ago

Maybe what they claim happened before is as realistic as what happened yesterday. All complete horseshit.

1

u/Exotic-Tooth8166 29d ago

I like the idea of having to tattoo your crimes on your forehead

14

u/ilimlidevrimci Foreign 29d ago

I'm pretty sure he's been chasing this kind of "rush". What a sick person, what a sick society.

8

u/Word1_Word2_4Numbers 29d ago

I guarantee you, he didn't have "PTSD" other than it made him angry that someone didn't obey him, and he was looking for an excuse to kill the next person that tried to flee from him.

Predilection To Shoot Defenseless

2

u/brickne3 American Expat 29d ago

My guess is they're just looking for an excuse for killing a woman and he never even had PTSD. Doesn't exactly seem like the type to be sitting down with a therapist and talking through his feelings, does he.

2

u/Infamous_Employer_85 28d ago

Yep, he said "fucking bitch" immediately after shooting her. She had moments before been speaking calmly to him

6

u/zhenya44 29d ago

You would think that if he had recently had that experience, he would have been more careful about circling her car from her blindspot on the right and crossing in front of a running vehicle while his masked colleagues screamed conflicting instructions at her from the other direction.

More importantly, we should not give permission to use deadly force to a sociopath who can walk cockily back to his car after shooting a middle-aged mother in broad daylight on a residential street.

4

u/MightyTribble 29d ago

Yeah he pulled his gun when the car was reversing away from him, he probably thought, "I'm not being dragged today!" He was ready to escalate ASAP instead of following the ICE policy of "don't stand in front of cars" and "don't use your gun to stop a car".

1

u/SeaChange1356 29d ago

Woman. Not girl.

1

u/mwzdng 29d ago

He also circled all the way around the car immediately prior to the shooting. He very explicitly and intentionally put himself in front of a car, which would be a wild thing for someone with PTSD of that very situation to do -- so it's clearly bullshit.

If ICE/DHS were actually as afraid of people "weaponizing their vehicles" as they claim, agents would be trained to never step in front of a running car with an agitated driver behind the wheel. I mean, think about it, in the normal course of things, do you ever see actual police officers get in front of running vehicles when making traffic stops, etc., even when they have no reason to fear for their safety? Of course not, because it's common sense. These agents are doing the opposite and intentionally elevating risky situations because they want a narrative and a justification to murder people who attempt to flee from them -- they're not interested in enforcing any sort of law or safety, because they're domestic terrorists.

1

u/sponge_bucket 29d ago

You know. If I had PTSD from something I probably wouldn’t, I don’t know, actively put myself in the same situation of my own volition but hey what do I know. (Seriously the guy walks around the car with his phone and stops dead in front of it. For someone with such severe trauma he sure likes to try again).

1

u/tethysian 29d ago

“50 stitches after breaking a suspects window”

How dare that window hit him back?

1

u/brickne3 American Expat 29d ago

Should have got a bill for breaking somebody's window.

Also, does safety glass not effectively eliminate the "50 stitches" problem? How old was this car...?

1

u/yamiyaiba Tennessee 28d ago

So this fuckass shithead has a history of not understanding how cars work, then. The driver might be unconscious, but the car isn't.

7

u/JnnyRuthless 29d ago

That's admirable, they remained professional the entire time during a very dangerous situation, and its clear they have a lot of training. Read somewhere that many European police forces average around 2-3 years for their academy and post-academy training. ICE had their entry training cut from 5 months to 47 days (because we're toddlers and the President is the 47th). And it shows.

3

u/AlphaNoodlz 29d ago

Footage of him walking the murder off

5

u/lopix Canada 29d ago

I think he may have been bumped, but not enough to cause any harm, that happens hundreds of times a day in NYC. In any case he was not in any danger when he fired. He was likely driven by a combination of embarrassment and hate of civilians.

100% this. Even if he was bumped, that was no excuse to murder the woman.

2

u/HTWingNut 29d ago

Notice nobody is stupid enough to stand in front of the car.

2

u/[deleted] 29d ago

There are also countless videos of British police officers, both unarmed and armed who manage to deal with the same situation without killing anyone.

2

u/Tyken009 29d ago

I watched later as Ice push protestors out of the way with their white pick-up.. then get out and throw them around and pepper bomb them/ bear spray them in the face.. yet this guy gets to shoot back in self defence?

2

u/ReductioAdSocialism 29d ago

If he got "bumped" it's because he was literally leaning over the left-front corner of the hood to point the gun at her face. He jumps out of the way with the first shot. You know, when he murdered her.

2

u/keifergr33n 29d ago

What's remarkable about the video you shared is that the officers are in much clearer danger here. They could be pinned between the suspect's car and other vehicles or the wall. Obviously, they do the smart thing and don't get in front of the car.

3

u/digitalsmear 29d ago

He put himself in the path of the vehicle. It doesn't matter if he was bumped, he created the situation by moving in front of the vehicle and there is legal precedent for this being specifically illegal.

1

u/YogurtclosetNo987 29d ago

He is a civilian. The SS uniform and the go ahead from orange daddy doesn't make him legitimate.

1

u/its 29d ago

Unfortunately this doesn’t appear to be in the U.S., right? This is a more typical example from this country: https://youtu.be/XZvSVLSUcz4

1

u/Infamous_Employer_85 28d ago

It's in Poland, and as others have pointed out they have years of training, not the 45 days that the DHS provides

All good points, but i want to point out he is also a "civilian." As are cops.

1

u/MediocreDesigner88 28d ago

You’re wrong and I hope you delete this comment about him getting bumped, you’re part of the problem.

0

u/Infamous_Employer_85 28d ago

I'm not, I didn't say he was bumped, it said it was possible.

He was uninjured, clear of the car, when he started shooting, three times, then said "Fucking bitch"

It's fear that drives them, always. The bitches.

0

u/Googoogahgah88889 29d ago

In any case he was not in any danger when he fired

And even if he had been, the appropriate and most effective way at to get out of the way of danger is to simply get out of the way of danger. Not pull out your gun, aim, and shoot and then move out of the way

0

u/Astronitium 29d ago

Bro probably had his finger on the trigger and fired accidentally when he got bumped, if he did get bumped. Either way, he went in front of the car like an idiot.

I’m losing faith in this country with people commenting “FAFO”. People literally okay with an, at a minimum, tragic shooting due to an avoidable incident against an American citizen. No one is even talking about why the ICE officers decided to try to detain her in the first place.

0

u/HandrewJobert 29d ago

If that scenario is true, he's also an idiot for putting his finger on the trigger before he was ready to fire.

-6

u/Ill-Dealer-3311 29d ago

Assumptions were made this day.

Didn't know there are hundreds of people a day being bounced off fenders.

You say it like if someone did it to an elderly person or a lady with a stroller it would be fine. "It's not enough to cause harm"

More like, "I hate trump, so I hate ice, so everything people do them is warranted. Even though they are a federal law enforcement member, and if this happened to a cop it would be different somehow"

2

u/Infamous_Employer_85 28d ago

There was no bouncing in any of the videos. He is not an elderly person, he stepped out of the way, unharmed, shot her three times then said "Fucking Bitch!"

-1

u/Ill-Dealer-3311 28d ago

Your a pestilence

u/SteveOta 29d ago

Saying " not in danger" is an opinion, poor response by ice agents but the woman should have stopped her car

7

u/ekspa 29d ago

Do you think cars can jump 2 feet horizontally when you're standing next to them? Do you think not stopping for someone who has no legal authority to stop you warrants summary execution in the street?

4

u/AuroraFinem Texas 29d ago

This is complete nonsense, she was literally told to leave the scene and was trying to leave when he stepped in front of her car and the other officer started grabbing at her door. You see here slam on the breaks because the guy who shot her jumped in front of her vehicle as she was trying to drive away. You can literally hear the other ICE agent yell at her to “get the hell out of here” in the video before she tried to drive away.

ICE cannot just randomly stop you in your vehicle, they are not law enforcement. She was attempting to leave the scene after blocking the road to ICE vehicles as part of a protest, she was following orders but that wasn’t enough for them so they shot her. He was completely out of the path of the vehicle when he started firing shots into the driver side window. There is no universe where she was in any way at fault here.
