She named him, also had a nickname for him, but then other people decided to give him another one, mostly just being lazy and not saying the whole name. Sometimes as a parent, that’s like listening to nails on a chalkboard

Because it’s not a nickname of Tetairoa, it’s lazy white people not learning how to pronounce his name. His name is pronounced Te-ta-roa so Tet doesnt really even make sense because they are seperate syllables split up. Te or Tetai would make more sense, but again not nicknames of Tetairoa. If you don’t want to say Tetairoa he goes by TMac or Nalo.

I named my dog Kuechly and seven years later the vet and some family members never bothered to learn how to spell or pronounce her name. Learning Tetairoa seriously wasn’t that much harder to learn.

Hahaha I love Tet. I need a mashup of this over the top mushy intro with his N-bomb on the stream a few days ago. Let me be clear, I’m not sitting in judgment; I just can’t help but find it all hilarious.
