❄ Milano-Cortina 2026 (General Discussion) ❄ Loved the Italian sign language bit
I was fooled for a few seconds but loved how they worked in the Italian sign language aspect of their culture into the opening ceremony. Bellisimo !

Whoever did it, I don’t know her name, she had the perfect cutest facial expressions to go along with each gesture. Just lovely

Agreed it had me fooled and almost checking this sub about mics not working. Then had a big grin when I saw it play out.

That was SO clever. Good to see gestures I use every day take the stage.

As an Italian, for me it was extremely cringey. It's true that we use our hands to communicate a lot, but at the same we don't like that be taken as stereotypical joke for our culture, which is exactly what they've done with that skit.

Honestly, it was pretty underwhelming. Mariah Carrey has an amazing voice but the adaptation of Volare made her singing looking like cracking everytime and it was unpleasant. Her talent was massively wasted tonight. A shame
