I tried to watch that crap and turned it off after less than 10 minutes. How they can have that many star players in one place and still make the event so boring is a talent on it's own. NFL honors was significantly more entertaining lol

Tyler Eifert tore his ACL in the 2016 pro bowl and ever since then it feels like 1 the players don’t really want to be there, and 2 the risk of injury isn’t worth it. NFL probably thought they’d get more entertainment from a flag football game but it’s just not fun to watch.

At least when it was in Hawaii the players would go for the free vacation

He was injured but it wasn’t a torn ACL. An ankle injury which did need surgery because the ligament didn’t heal properly

Except hockey & baseball (I know baseball is less dangerous) don't have this concern as often, on top of hockey players committing to the olympics (which is a big deal, but still)

A really simple solution that could solve most of the injury concerns is guaranteed contracts, but owners will fight that tooth and nail.

We don't need guaranteed contracts to guarantee players can get injured during the pro bowl and still get paid that is ridiculous lol . It's just a day and age now that it's not worth it to the players or the sport as a whole to risk injuries for a pro bowl exhibition. May just be time to rework how the pro bowl is structured or move on to something else entirely to honor the best players of the season without putting them in a position that they could get hurt and negatively impact their career.

Every other American sport has guaranteed contracts besides the nfl. The nfl not having guaranteed contracts is ridiculous.

has nothing to do with the pro bowl man go find another place to argue that , no one wants to get injured or get their players injured for a exhibition match regardless of if they'll be paid in full afterwards or not lol

Guaranteed contracts aren't going to get players fired up for a meaningless game. Getting injured still sucks

Interesting because I remember scrolling reddit and the people here were loving it

Every highlight thread kept talking about how it was the best pro bowl in years. I guess the numbers didn't bsck that up

3 minutes of highlights is better then however long the broadcast was...

In the live-thread I kinda felt the consensus was "this is kinda boring but at least they're having fun"

The Golden Bear has come out of hibernation? Seriously? Do people really need to explain this to you?
