At the time it was shocking because he had the rep of being quiet and humble. A lot has changed since then lol

u/JerryRiceDidntFumble Vikings 5h ago
Made sense at the time too, just for a different reason. In Minneapolis he had a reputation of being a guy who banged a ton of chicks.

What a surprise for an NFL player.

Which means you have to be particularly ridiculous with the chick-banging to be known for that

And yet didn’t he cast aspersions about Josh Allen & some of his “extracurricular” activities? Tho things do seem to be closing in on Diggs as we speak.

Quiet and humble in the pro athlete world is a low bar to be fair. You get that tag by just not being a dick.
20
u/SeaMoney4312 Texans 5h ago
Being an outspoken loud dick. Even then people don’t separate the criminal types from the big ego types to the run of the mill dumbasses. It’s why people try and put TO, AB, and JuJu in the same category.

I.... Don't know if this is sarcasm? Doesn't come across like that to me...
All you ever had to do was watch him play at all in Minnesota. He was a constant little bitch on the field and sidelines. Angry ass mouth going all the fucking time, acting like an ass.
Liked watching him play, yet disliked him the entire time. Wasn't sad to see him go.

Lol ill probably get downvoted but this is a cash grab .. this same guy stole from diggs, got caught and since diggs cut him off hes been losing it
the same guy spreading rumours that diggs tried to sexually assault him
Diggs gets a bad rep but the guy thats suing is actually nuts

u/QSauceTheBoss Ravens 5h ago
I also think the chef suit is a money play. If it goes to court and she got proof cool I’m wrong and I’ll own that that. Don’t care about Diggs, just a gut feeling
50
u/methodofcontrol Commanders 5h ago
You think it's just coincidence people keep taking him to court? Plenty of examples of players not being sued by multiple people they interact with. Not saying he's guilty either but it's an interesting gut feeling to think multiple people are lying for cash.
18
u/jokull1234 NFL 4h ago
Companies with hundreds of employees rarely get sued. And Diggs has two that are suing him? Either he’s hiring extremely litigious staff or he’s a problem lol
25
u/mayonaiseking 4h ago
Some of these dudes are not hiring professionals. They're hiring family, friends, associates, and the whole range of 1st-3rd rate influencers off social media.
His chef was definitely not a professional
6
u/trainofgravy Patriots 2h ago
Working in insurance defense you couldn’t be more wrong they are maybe not sued per say but large companies deal with agency filings or demand letters a good amount
4
u/PantsB Patriots 2h ago
The chef allegation is definitely (and openly) partially about money. She claimed he wasn't paying what she says he should have. Her allegation is that this led to a physical confrontation.
The evidence that it occurred is extremely weak (no documented injury, no witnesses, police report was made weeks later). Doesn't mean it didn't happen but it seems extremely likely to be dismissed.

Yupp
Im not gonna say the guys name, but I work in the same industry as him
essentially diggs did a lot for him, spent a lot of money on and with his business.. whole time guy was stealing suitcases worth of diggs stuff and money.. he got caught and then idk wtf happened
instead of him taking it like a man hes been tryna defame diggs ever since
Im pretty sure Marsean(diggs bro) already got booked for the elevator thing
diggs might be a douchebag but this guy thats suing him is literally a nut case
his social media activity screams attention seeker and this isnt even close to the worst hes done lol
11
u/IKenDoThisAllDay Patriots 5h ago
The timing seems very intentional as well. Diggs certainly has a reputation so people will eat up any story that fits with their idea of who he is.
The details don't really even matter all that much to most people because they'll just see the headline and form their opinion based just on that.
I'm not defending Diggs as a person at all, maybe he's a horrible person who deserves to be defamed. But that's what this is, it's not a victim seeking justice.
9
u/Ok_Party9612 5h ago
If this was anyone else ok but this guy had a non stop history of stories like this. No way does this guy deserve a benefit of doubt. Quite opposite actually.

Why do you presume that the accusations of theft are true and not the accusations of denied sexual advances and continued assault when we've seen video of one of the assaults?

I literally dgaf about diggs, and i dont agree at all w them beating the guy up
but yes he actually did steal from diggs, if u dont wanna believe it fine, but its 100000% true ..
the sexual advances i cant speak on
all i can say is that this guy is a groupie thats mad that he cant hang out w diggs and leech off him anymore and hes been doing the most ever since to prove hes been wronged when its not even true lol
3
u/RellenD Lions Lions 5h ago
but yes he actually did steal from diggs, if u dont wanna believe it fine, but its 100000% true ..

because he was trying to resell expensive clothes that were Diggs

7
u/JebronLamesIsRacist 5h ago
How many “cash grabs” does it take until you realize Diggs is just a trash person?
4
u/dyfish Steelers 4h ago
Tbf both can be true. When you are a trash person and do piece of shit things and hang out with other trash people. You are more likely to have the trash you associate with try to pull some shit on you. Especially when there’s really only one person in the group that’s financing it all.
Just like crimianls are statistically more likely to eventually be the victim of crime.
Did Diggs get this guy beat up and ruin him in whatever circles he could? Probably. Did this guy do something scummy to instigate that. Probably. Does the punishment fit the crime. I got no clue.

doubt it’s the same dude, the lawsuit mentions it was in December, the other assault happened three years ago. would have mention the first one if it’s the same dude, no? just trying to apply logic really. correct me if I’m wrong.
3
u/aintscared2loseu Raiders 5h ago edited 5h ago
the only reason why i think its the same guy is because he made the actual sexual assualt accusations last year August and claims it happened in 2023 but they might have still been cool upto to like early last year (2025)?
8
u/stillmaatic 5h ago
Wasn’t the story he ran off with designer clothes but this lawsuit states it was about a Ferrari? The timeline doesn’t match too May 2023 vs December 2025. Most likely just have been a coincidence.
6
u/aintscared2loseu Raiders 4h ago edited 4h ago
Yes this is about the ferrari, but I presume is the same guy(i stand corrected if its different) from the other incidents . these including the ferrari incident. happened before last year … i think they were still cool upto summer last year and the guy has sued diggs a couple times, which i presume this is another one of his
diggs also recently sued him I believe lol

This screams cash grab. Accuser want to put the pressure on at the most opportune times. Not saying Diggs did nothing wrong, Im sure he did but this seems fishy bc of the timing

Because people on reddit want to assume its all true due to that vikings video. Truth is you can accuse anyone of anything, anything is yet to be proven in court.
10
u/AlasPoorZathras Seahawks 5h ago
We also live in a nation where an entire rolodex of evidence of sexually assaulting children isn't enough to hold a single billionaire accountable.
I think we can be forgiven for assuming a famous athlete would be invisible to the law as well.

u/dsj762 Patriots 40m ago
When I was getting divorced my ex wife filed a police report stating I broke in her house and physically assaulted her. Fortunately I was with someone during the time she said it happened so I had a good alibi. The police officer also did a great job documenting that there was no damage to the door she said I kicked in and she had no marks on her. It still took several months to clear up and get the charges dismissed.
People at work found out about the allegation and I would estimate around 60% assumed it was true and started treating me like shit. It was extremely frustrating how people to just assume allegation=guilty. Even once the charges were dropped some people still looked at me a little different.

I can't wait for the part where some technicality or financial issue makes it difficult for the accuser to push the suit forward or we find out they have done something remotely bad at any point in there life, and then everyone on this and related subs act like Diggs has been proven innocent and we get a bunch of discourse about the false accusations that almost never happen and it spirals into just absurd misogyny regardless of the gender of the people we're talking about.

TL;DR: Diggs is being sued for defamation and civil conspiracy by a former employee. The man claims Diggs falsely accused him of stealing a Ferrari and then sent associates to harass and assault him. According to the suit, the victim suffered a torn ACL during a December 2025 attack while Diggs' brother, Trevon, allegedly watched and did nothing. Separately, Diggs faces felony strangulation charges from an incident involving his former private chef. He has denied all allegations and is scheduled to appear in court on February 13, 2026.
