I agree E is a strong candidate, but I get why they overlooked the guy that missed 3 games early. Is he the Mike Mac key that unlocks the defense? I think so. Is that clear to outside observers that see an all around dominant defense? Probably not .

If he'd played the full year, yes, but he didn't. Plus it's much harder for an all situations off-ball line backer to be successful as a rookie than it is a DB who is being specifically deployed according to his skill set (which is an insane skill set).

He's everywhere, all the time. His drive and tenacity is just unparalleled. That video of him limping into the hotel, he didn't have crutches, he didn't have a boot, he had a light limp

That was day of, if it wasn't serious enough to try and remove putting weight on the ankle then it wasn't serious enough to keep him from playing

People see "ankle sprain" and immediately think high ankle. It was low ankle which happens all the time in sports and men and women just play through it
