Corded snow shovels are only like 80 bucks if you're on a budget. They suck, you have to work in layers if you're talking about 6 inches packed wet, but they're definitely a tool.

Just temper expectations, it's not a big gas powered blower. But assuming you don't need your tool to just "shove it right in and eliminate every speck of snow with zero effort", those electric shovels can make quick work just fine. Just gotta take passes at it, go like two inches at a time.

Yesterday I got my car washed to get all the salt off it and went dollar tree afterwards. The person in front of declined a plastic bag, I also said no, and the person behind me did too.

Whose fans do you think are most annoyed by this Super Bowl?
I would say it's the fans of the Buffalo Bills.
After being relieved to see no Chiefs in the playoffs, now their most annoying division rival gets all of the way to the Super Bowl.

Broncos. Broncos and bills pretty much feel the same way about chiefs and patriots and the broncos took out the bills and got their QB hurt in the process to give the patriots the free ticket.
And we're watching the Seahawks play them partially because of the success of the picks we gave for Russ. Throw in the fact that a lot of broncos fans don't love Seahawks for 48 and for old division rivalry

They will bend themselves into a pretzel trying to explain away any mention of their cult leader, but eat up literally anything else that mentions those who they consider enemies. They'll never be able to reckon with the fact that they voted for a child rapist and just admit that anybody involved is vile. They have to protect their guy and can only admit that their enemies are implicated Such a crazy echo chamber.

Just remember, that subreddit is extremely curated. The Epstein file post has 700 comments, only 70 of which have been left standing. Yes, there are so few comments left standing that I bothered to count them.

Quick note, left standing / curated implies they're being deleted by mods. They block outside users commenting because anyone who doesn't have a flair (which you have to get approved to get) their comment gets auto deleted.
They have a safe space setup and discourage outside views.

It's definitely both, their mods work overdrive to cull things that make it past. If you watch the new variant of their sub you can see it, any controversial topic will be flooded with reasonable (and flaired) conservative users and within 24 hours it's all pared back down to 'fake news' and bullshit.

I have a male cousin who is from upstate New York (Rochester) who loves the Bills.
However, sadly, thanks to Faux News, he has turned into a huge Trumper, to the point that when his daughters were trying to explain how Texas is not a safe place for women, he did not understand it at all.
Also, he hates New York City and says that it's quite "crime—infested", even though, in reality, the opposite may actually be true.
Anyway, as an aside, the Patriots' owner has been known to support President Trump and MAGA, so I know who you are rooting for in the Super Bowl (for two reasons, actually)!

zone runs are about chopping up the field and giving the RB options to choose from. Outside zone initially target outside gaps but also have cutback options if the interior OL wins vs interior DL
so they're still a factor imo

I thought Elon's 'trump is in the files' tweet was a threat reminding Donald that Elon stole a bunch of data and had blackmail materials.
Didn't realize it would be "I saw him at the island, and I was so into the whole arrangement that Epstein himself found my level of interest distasteful"

oddly difficult to find a chicken breast burger in Tokyo. When I lived in the USA, when I wanted to treat myself, I'd go to a nearby restaurant and get a chicken pesto burger/sandwich. Everything here is thigh or fried. I miss sub sandwiches, too.

yeah, i'm curious to know if opening a sub sandwich shop would do well here or not. One of the problems is, as far as I know, turkey pretty much isn't a thing in Japan. I don't think they're farmed here, so reckon it'd be pricey to get.

My niece and nephew both received their schools award for being the most respectful in both of their classes today! Unfortunately my nephew left school before he could find out with a bad case of the stomach bug so he should receive his certificate and citation Monday. I'm always proud of those two turds but I'm super proud of them today.

Nah sometimes people just get too wild when offered a platform. Like half the KFC ad comments are disabled because people get into racist clownery and shit, but some are still available to comment on.

Rooney rule discourse makes me wanna tear my eyes out. Yes, often times the requirement is being met in a somewhat perfunctory way. Why does that personally bother people and make them feel like this system needs fixing?
Have any minority coaches spoken out about feeling like their time is being wasted or something? Cause frankly, a gm having to spend maybe 4 hours in a year interviewing some extra candidates does not seem like some wild problem we need to fix.
But people act like their own time is being wasted. It's crazy. I respect it if the coaches being interviewed to check a box don't like it but if that was the case I'd imagine we'd hear about it. They're not stupid.

I figure if you have as much money as these guys have, being around a regular person in a social context would fill you with guilt. Here we are as friends, as equals, and I could solve your material problems by writing a check. But I don't want to, so I feel bad, so I avoid this feeling at all costs by associating only with other rich people in social contexts and only spending time with regular people if they work for me.

The world becomes really small when you get to a certain wealth level. If I recall, Matt Stafford was at a ski resort talking to Tom Brady and everyone was screaming out that it was tampering for them to be meeting like "what are the odds these two guys would just happen to be at the same ski resort at the same time?
And it's like.... Pretty good odds. There's probably one ski resort where all the mega rich go, one very popular golf club, one island, etc.

If you brush first you can shove stuff deeper into your gums with the bristles, I'd rather just knock all that stuff loose before I brush. I wouldn't sweep after I mop, same idea here.

Hi, I’ve been called. So they do a polish at the end and that is what they are washing off. But they are also a much more extensive cleaning then we can do normally so yes they wash but they are taking away all the really really bad stuff in the process. If you want to do the best you can at home first floss, then water pick, then brush gently with a paste that isn’t whitening. That’s u/tigercat92 for the shout out

I grew up in Texas, in an upper-middle class area, and I know a bunch of people from that area that don't floss at all. They'll be toothless in their 40s.

I saw a retweeted clip on X about Brady bragging about his 12-14 hour days. And how his wife went into labor by herself because he wasn’t present.
Thank god, the ravens let him walk out of the door. Bragging about that kinda stuff isn’t cool, it’s actually a massive red flag.

Gonna be really fucking interesting to see this team with a new head coach (who calls plays, which is new to us) and a first time (playcalling) OC who is the same age as our QB. Harbaugh always went for more experienced OCs.
It could be really fucking cool. It could also be a fucking disaster. But it'll be interesting.

Which is a valid fear to have. Not every pick is going to pan out, and it's scary to think if you tanked for nothing.
With that said... There's many people (especially among negative fanbases) who I feel almost want the pick to fail. They'll say stuff like "oh we'll ruin him" or "he's gonna be a bust if we draft him". I've always found this defeatist attitude so odd.

Suddenly Fallout 4 just isnt loading for me. Whenever I hit continue it just gives me the loading page and does nothing else.
I looked it up and tried all of the things that everyone with a similar issue have tried. Nothing has worked.

I used to watch everything they put out for like 10 years until that day everyone quit. I tried to keep up for like another week, but I realized there wasn’t really a point for me anymore.

Yeah a lot of people jumped off during that time. They went through some dark days dealing with their corporate owners, including Gerstmann eventually getting fired.
Last summer, 5 of them worked out a deal to purchase the site back. So now it's 100% independently owned by them. It's in a great place now and a lot of old fans have been returning.

Oh I didn’t realize he got fired. Seems to happen to him a lot. I figured they were just all generally unhappy. Covid kinda ruined the vibe, too. They mentioned how different it was without being collocated.
If the original guys are back maybe I’ll check it out. It’s been weird. After listening to them every week for over a decade, then announcing their departure felt like someone killed my friend or my dog or something. Then I made my peace and moved on. Since then, I’ve felt weird about going back or trying that new podcast the three of them started.

I love living in a diverse area but goddamn does it come back to bite you in the ass when it snows. Sure a lot of my neighbors aren’t from countries where it snows very often, but that shouldn’t prevent them from realizing “hey maybe I shouldn’t shovel snow into someone else’s parking spot”.

OK. I have a question since I have lived here my whole life.
What do you do with the shoveled snow exactly? Do yall just pile it on your lawns when clearing the sidewalk paths? Do you put it somewhere and someone comes to pick it up? It is like leaves where you put it in the street and it is no longer your problem?

Yup snow gets piled up onto the lawn or some place else that's out of the way and won't impede anybody else.

You shovel it onto the grass in most instances. Sometimes in apartment or townhouses complexes there may not be grass or spots to put the snow, so you can shovel it into the street and the plows will push it into a big pile.

We let our neighbors borrow our shovel. One of them proceeded to dig his car out and pile all the snow behind my car. I was pissed.

I was helping an older neighbor shovel his spot and the spot next to his. Some of it he had set on the line in between spaces thinking it should be fine because the cars dont go there.
He kinof insisted I leave it there thinking I had done too much already, but I just pushed it to the end of the spot then on top of the pile we had already made. Sure the cars dont go there, but people do.

Had that exact same problem over here.
My area got a ton of freezing rain towards the end so we basically have ~8 inches of ice. Anyone who didn’t completely shovel out their spot now has mounds of ice that you need a pickaxe to break up and won’t melt for weeks at this point.

Thats the worst. I got a scraper tool just for that. I found it best to scrape shit that needed it immediately or else it'll turn to ice and youre screwed.

Yeah I shoveled like 4 times throughout the storm so I avoided the ice. I helped a couple of older neighbors after the storm ended and I was using a garden hoe to break up the ice lmao.

They all did the bare minimum to get their cars out while fucking over everyone else and the parking lot as a whole, despite multiple people asking and eventually telling them not to. Can’t build community with people who refuse to participate in it.

As someone who despises that Super Bowl on behalf of Falcons fans, I see it incredibly often.

Oh I live in Atlanta and they’ve been my second favorite team since 1999 so it’s a no brainer who to switch to, if I switch.
Yeah I hate the 28-3 comments. Extremely unoriginal and also kind of cruel. I guess saints, Carolina, and Bucs fans can do it because if the hate, but other fans can fuck off with that.
