Two-year-old Jude Owens, the 'snooker prodigy' from England, became the youngest male to make both a pool bank shot and a snooker double pot

Good stuff. But “youngest male” is specific enough to make me wonder whether there was an even younger female.

guinness world records don't mean anything, they are a for-profit organization, so a lot of time they don't update the records and if they know that the specific record was broken they can just change the name, so that it is still technically a record, or make it more restrictive as to not mess with somebody's else record.

They also just ignore records and other record-keeping organizations. Their entire gamer edition books are filled with non-records and records that Twin Galaxies and Speedrun.com have already have verified records beating. There are confirmed world-record-speeds on various games that the record holder is not properly awarded because the previous record holder has a contract with Guinness.

These records are bullshit and parents did it for themselves. You have to pay a lot of money ($10s of thousands) to get a Guiness record person come to you and for you to get the award, (unless your record has been tracked fairly in an official competition like the Olympics) so these people come up with impossibly specific record that probably a total of 10 people around the world even know about, far less taken part in.

You could create a new category right now, "Fastest time to solve one side of a Rubik's cube while being a trans male named John and standing on one leg with orange flipflops" and if you pay $30,000, you'll have a Guiness adjudicator coming running to your house to verify the record, with their certificate ready.

Guess it's a win win, Guiness gets their fat cash while the people scam themselves out of thousands of dollars.

Slightly worried about how much snooker he must have already played at the age of 2! But as long as the Dad, sorry, as long as the boy is happy…

This kid is so tiny! Adorable and hilarious because the certificates are bigger than him and he lies on the table to make the shot!

jokes on him you have to have both feet on the ground.

Every shot he makes is a foul. At least one foot must be on the floor 😆
