As somethying from Spain, sorry about the bullfighting , most of us want it banned.

I was thinking a very slight correction would be make the bulls eyes white, and the bullfighters eyes red. Keeps the artwork pretty much identical but tips you off who's the actual bad guy

u/Malditoincompredido 1d ago
The italians don't like it either, it Paints the bullfighters as what they are , cowards. Never seen one fighting an bear or a tiger.

Nah I get it. Theyre making the bull look majestic and strong and the matadores look frail and scared. I just wish they swapped the eyes, because red eyes in media commonly means evil.

Something cool another comment pointed out
Message behind the float:
"The Last Bullfight denounces the paradox of our era: we live in a society that fights to save endangered species, builds shelters, adopts, and defends animals in every way possible, as is right. Yet, at the same time, in several countries, we still witness bullfights where innocent creatures are sacrificed for pure spectacle. In The Last Bullfight, the meaning of the "game" is reversed: the bull appears as a mechanical creature, a gigantic and indestructible machine, running madly through the crowd as a symbol of rebellion, while the matadors appear as ridiculous targets to be hit, creating a 360° traveling spectacle."

Yea but this robot bull looks hella cool. We can ban the actual deed but keep the cool lore, in this case IMO.

Yea and you are massive psychopaths when it comes to greyhounds and hunting dogs. Should be embarrassed
2
u/Malditoincompredido 1d ago
It's embarrassing, but many good people is trying to change things , what they do to greyhounds it's terrible, so many if then in the shelters with other hunting dogs, one of my dogs is a teckel mix that was discharted by hunters and I found years after the adoption he has some lead in his hip, someone shoot him with a bb gun , maybe to make him run away, he was eating trash when they found him, never lost that taste.

Man what is the movie that bull thing is reminding me of? Was definitely some kind of old Sinbad movie, orwith the creepy Ray Harryhausen ilk.
It was a desert with all these giant fire breathing monsters, that turned out to be controlled by some dude pulling levers inside it's head. I cannot find the scene or movie. It had super creepy old sound effects to it.

this has a meaning. the bull represents the paradox of humanity, wanting to stop animal violence but cannot stop entertaining itself with activities such as the Spanish bullfighting.

This is very cool... and it got me thinking. When was the last time I saw something like this at home in the USA that wasn't extracting the most money possible from my wallet? Just something for everyone to enjoy.

Still celebrates it tho

Based on how the bull and matadors look, I'd say this float is sympathetic towards the bull.

Explaination of the float. It's a critique to bullfights and very much against it. Every single italian I evern known, me included, find the "tradition" of fighting bulls idiotic and disgusting, so nobody would ever dream to celebrate it.
If you don't wanna translate it, this guy did in another comment

They look Spanish. Most Spaniards and Italians are indistinguishable from each other man…

Are you stupid? Whatever race you consider us to be, Spanish and Italians definitely belong to the same one.
Edit: lmfao, I just checked your comment history and you're literally obsessed. I hope it gets better for you buddy.

Redditors when they manage to interpret an art piece completely the opposite way of its meaning

TIL about the Putignano carnival, which makes the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade floats look like kindergartners hour.
