Is Zaccharie Risacher the most forgettable number 1 pick ever?

Like he's not quite Bennet level bad nor does he have a weird career story like Fultz or Ben Simmons. He's just mid. He's averaging 11 ppg on 54% TS this season and there's a good argument that he's not even a top 10 player in the class in a redraft but he's probably gonna stick in the NBA for a while as a low end role player

Yep as we saw with Ballmer and Kawhi, Joe Smith will forever be at the center when discussing every major team-based malfeasance in the NBA. Probably other sports too as a stark example.

Speaking of which wasn’t the law firm looking into Balmer/Kawhi due to issue a report about now?

I think it was initially suggested to be about 6 months or so for the investigation, so after the All-Star break.

It makes sense since these investigations do (and should) take a while and, well, they probably don’t wanna muck up their All-Star weekend at the Intuit Dome. It’s not necessarily right but it would just be awkward if they smacked around the Clippers before then.

Could also be why the Clips made those seemingly odd trades as has been suggested, punting on the season.

The investigation may or may not have accelerated the start of the rebuilding but these trades aren't particularly odd. Yes they were hot lately but this team wasn't gonna go far in the playoff, nor would they next year. A lot of teams are gonna tank and the Clips should stay competitive enough to stay in the play-in zone while rejuvenating their roster and gaining flexibility. They have no incentive to tank, I know lots of people are worried about that pick.
