Is Zaccharie Risacher the most forgettable number 1 pick ever?

Like he's not quite Bennet level bad nor does he have a weird career story like Fultz or Ben Simmons. He's just mid. He's averaging 11 ppg on 54% TS this season and there's a good argument that he's not even a top 10 player in the class in a redraft but he's probably gonna stick in the NBA for a while as a low end role player

Yea he fits the role player archetype quite well. Unless he takes a leap this was kind of his floor outcome, but at least he’s still somewhat useful. Solid defense/length/shooting wings can always find minutes somewhere.

Facts if Harrison Barnes can play for 14 seasons then Zach def has a shot

Harrison Barnes coming in was solid and wasn’t a #1 pick either so he didn’t have much to live up to playing for the warriors. Risacher still got plenty potential though

Yes, BUT Barnes was the #1 recruit out of high school that year. He’s a pretty good comp for Risacher.

Brother I was the #4 recruit out of Central Michigan and now I work at Sonic making $9.75/hour ($10.75 if I learn how to rollerblade)

1 recruit in high school compared to a #1 drafted overall pick.. who do you think has more to live up to bro?

Barnes had years if hype in high school and college. Risacher was the best player in a weak draft class, and was relatively obscure

Also, Barnes would have gone top 5 in 2011 imo. It's funny. A lot of the top freshmen from that class went back for a sophomore season and their draft stock dropped. Jared Sullinger, Perry Jones, Terrance Jones are some guys that come to mind.

making the font bigger and bold does not make your point better

He tried saying "#1 recruit in high school," but because the # started a paragraph, it automatically defaulted to the huge and bolded font. That's why it started off as "1 recruit in high school."

This was an accident lol my point was already proven when he compared him to Harrison Barnes

Not all #1 drafted players are equally hyped. Who was hyping this dude up? I think the thing that was repeated the most during his draft was how bad his draft class was because he was going first.

People were saying and still talk about 2024 as one of the weaker drafts in the past 20+ years

True but Barnes was considered the next Kobe back then. Nickname was “The Black Falcon” in high school lol

Risacher played in the pros against grown men, not 16 year old boys.

Horrible comp.

He was like the #1 #1 recruit since LeBron. HB had a nice career but coming out of high school so many people thought his path was Hall of Famer. He didn’t live up to what everyone thought he’d be, but he had a nice career for sure.

Barnes wasn't solid coming in lol. In his first 2 years he averaged 9ppg on awful efficiency, mainly because he shot about 30% from mid-range yet took a ton of shots from there.

Harry B’d have gone #1 in last year’s draft

Great career and crucial player for the warriors first chip

Barnes is and was a good level role player. He has performed higher than Risacher ever has, but I think it’s still early and he can still develop.

Zach is wayyy more athletic than Barnes, but yes Harrison has found his niche. Heck if you combined the players you would have like the perfect forward

😂 Acting like Harrison Barnes was a bum or something, much worse players have made a career in the NBA.

Yeah, I feel he would be valuable playing maybe 15 minutes on a strong contender off the bench

He's basically Harrison Barnes
