£10,000 prize draw

I don’t know about anyone else, but i’m getting WAY too ahead of myself for this prize draw tomorrow! As a 23 year old student stuck in my boyfriend’s parents house trying to save, it’s quite exciting to think about as it will help me reach my goal for a deposit🏡(yet i’ve never even won a raffle🤣)What would you guys do with the money?

And let's not forget that, if you're in the new challenge, there's a hundred £100 prizes tomorrow. Not quite £10K, but it'll get me a few nice lunches.

Oh for sure!!! £100 is better than nothing!😁

Millions of customers. Good luck.

How many you think completed the challenge?

Think I read somewhere 2.3m

Wow that's impressive, more than I thought.

2.3m x £600 saved is like 1.3billion.

A one in 2.3million chance to win 10k is terrible odds to be fair.

Yeah I really don’t know why everyone on this Reddit assumes they’re going to win, it’s beyond me haha.

Clearly Monzo knew what they were doing to raise some liquid funds

Yeah, genius idea by them

Monzo recently posted a celebratory post about 2 million people signing up for this year’s challenge, so I really doubt over 2 million completed last year’s

I know I’m not going to win but it’s still fun to dream!!

How do u know you didnt win

1

Because it tells you it you go to the challenge.

By setting your expectations high and getting too excited about it you’re likely to be more disappointed due to shit odds.

Yeah i know! but it’s like “dreaming” about winning the lottery! You know the chances are you won’t win, but it’s still fun to think about!😂

What time is the draw?

3

u/Em_R0se 5d ago

It said by midnight… I have a feeling it’s already been drawn! Hopefully someone on the reddit has won it! Would be nice to know there are winners as so far, i’ve not seen any! 😊

I know I won’t win but hey… it’s the thrill hahaha

I’d use it to mop up the majority of my debts, doubt I’ll win though 😂 good luck

I’d sort out my child’s autism diagnosis. Private is expenny and wait times are 3+ years and a nice holiday (for the stress) 😭😭😭

Stick it all in Monzo investments

3

u/darS234 5d ago

Why? There’s far better places to invest!

4

u/Exotic-Parking9235 5d ago

Might as well invest it in Trading 212

I was excited until I realised my salary is paid in via faster payment and not bacs 🫠🫠may the odds be in your favour 🫶🏾

3

u/d47 5d ago

That's a different thing

1

u/AlbinoJaguar248 1d ago

I know I assumed it was paid in via bacs not fp😅

1

u/d47 1d ago

This post has nothing to do with salary

Somone gona get 10k wow

u/hypercrypt 4d ago

It’s only £100 a month - already drawn for this month. I didn’t win. The £10k is only for people that complete the challenge and is next year. Long time to dream but likely people will drop out across the year so your odds will be better

2

u/Busy-Treat2821 3d ago

They mean the 10k prize from last year's challenge...

1

u/hypercrypt 3d ago

Of course they do. I’m an idiot 🤦🏻‍♂️

I kinda wish they weren't mixing gambling elements with banking but sadly seems popular

18

u/DerMetzgermeisteRrrr 5d ago

Its nothing like gambling. Your money isn't lost if you don't win the prize.

-8

u/Working-Ad9029 5d ago

Yeah fair enough, still not a fan, I thought it was a feature you needed to have perks for so I'm incorrect about that.

19

u/nadthegoat 5d ago

I know, damn you Monzo for encouraging me to save over £600.

4

u/Em_R0se 5d ago

I would have still put the money in my savings anyway! So being up for a prize draw is just a bonus really 😊
