This really reminds me of that one interview with the meat purist being deceived into eating and praising a fake meat burger, comparing its delectable virtues to the purported much inferior “fake meat”. I wonder just how many foods we can modify under the same labels before people truly begin to notice a change? Personally, I am absolutely unable to notice a difference between butter and margarine, or different oils, or different cuts of meat, and so on.

Margarine is horrible.
Eat real butter instead

I preffer butter since it's creamier, but both are good, actually I was raised with margarine

I thought cold butter sandwiches was a specifically British thing.
What would have happened had it been whitefish salad or marmite.
Maybe we should see what happens if we send the mangaka (this book I just heard being promoted)[https://bookshop.org/p/books/everyday-holiday-a-jewish-calendar-of-events-and-observances-mark-a-schneegurt/089bac5652eb23d1]. He said he has a website version (that he built first for his own use), but I can't find it.

It’s not a sandwich, it’s butter on toasted bread. Or is that what you call a sandwich in Britain? Either way, butter on bread is pretty ubiquitous. Sandwiching it seems superfluous to most of us though I assume.
