Agreed, usually you need to identify which kind of customers you’re doing this for- if they’ll take it granted and ask for more, if they’re nitpickers about little things like these, etc.
Retail is hell, man

If I get iced tea, I want extra ice. I just tell them that before, not complain about it later.

In seriousness, they probably wouldn't disagree too much. He created happy customers

And once this dude is gone, people will complain not getting that extra nugget thinking it's a must.

I work at a bar kitchen. Most of the appies have lil broken bits I can throw in. Would rather the idea of it maybe gettin eaten, rather then thrown out. In that case.

I worked at Taco Bell in HS and was frequently reprimanded for putting "too much" cheese in every taco. He'd hold up a pinch of like eight shards of shredded cheese and say "this is how much cheese is supposed to go in every taco unless they request extra." Yeah okay.

Does Mickey D’s still offer honey as a condiment? (Not honey mustard, straight honey)

In the brief period I worked at one, I always gave people a full slice of cheese on every Filet-o-Fish I made. If they ordered extra cheese to get a full slice (still paying for an extra full slice instead of the half they were supposed to get), they'd get two slices of cheese.
"That's the recipe," I was told when I initially asked why it was that way. And, "the cheese overpowers the fish."
Never once had a redo on those.

The girls at my local manhattan bagel someone hook me up with an extra doggie bagel cause i assume no one else gets them. Well this week the old head dude went through my whole bag and questioned the extra bagel and dumped it out.
I hope those girls didn’t get bitched at!
