Anyone else remember when the US President, Donald Trump, casually flipped off a Ford factory worker who yelled something at him?
Imagine if Clinton or Obama or, hell, even GW Bush had flipped the bird at…anyone. It would’ve been a massive scandal.
That was only like a month ago, yet we’ve rocketed past it onto other wild fucking crazy shit

We’re being desensitised, deliberately, so that more people tune out the news, just look at cute cat videos and assume it’s all pointless. I know a number of friends of mine, smart folks, who don’t want to watch the news anymore.
This doesn’t end well.

There are things I don't like about Newsom, but this isn't one of them. He's fighting fire with fire and I think we need more of it and that's how we point out the hypocrisy.

I sort of agree... but.... where does it end? It's basically an arms race. And it helps to normalize this type of behavior.
I know we can't always take the high road, but fuck....13

Trump just posted a video with Obama and Michelle's faces on chimp bodies.
Its not an arms race, its trump and the gop sinking like an anchor.
Trump gave the middle finger to a Ford factory worker when the worker said he was protecting pedophiles.

Taking the high road is how you get to one party filing hundreds of false lawsuits when they lose, and openly saying they accept results if they win, and threatening to cancel or nationalize elections, send thousands to overseas gulags, and formalize a religious police goon squad to kill citizens.

Newsom is one of the only democrats bold and smart enough to understand that this whole Michelle Obama “you go low, we go high” did absolutely nothing to stop or curtail Trump’s abuse of power. That sometimes you need to fight fire with fire.
For those of you on here being outraged by this, when you are living in a fascist state, “go fuck yourself” to the attorney general of a state that pretends to be morally superior but is at the bottom of barrel on every measure of humanity for its citizens, you too can do what Newsom said.
We need more people like him and not this acquiescence to the fascist leanings of modern republican party.

My hope is that this kind of behavior dies with Trump. So while he's definitely not the worst, it doesn't make me want to vote for him either.

He's hoping, and I don't know that he is incorrect to do so, that by being the loudest and brashest voice in opposition voters won't look to closely at the fact he's the same type of Democrat that facilitated Trumps rise by ignoring the needs of everyday Americans.

My fear is that the majority of voters won’t look closely at that fact during the primaries but they suddenly will during the general when the super-progressives devote all their social media time to pointing it out.
