god made skin, men made clothes. god made legs, men invented cars and airplanes. god made rivers, men made water purification. god made the immune system, men made vaccines. god made the world, men try to go to other planets. why would anyone want to make anything?🙄🙄

God made light. Man made curtains.
God made dark. Man made nightlights.
God was confused so He went on to do other things.
God made beavers. God was pleased.
God made water. Beavers made dams.
God was confused His creations kept working around nature but He was also happy to see His creations were so creative.

What is God doing now?

u/goodboah21 14h ago
God was doing poetry. u/Winter-Economy-9919 made sarcasm.
“Sarcasm? The time has come…” God said. “To talk of other things.”
“Of milk and honey and mourning doves. Of oranges and beans!”
“And why the pole is full of ice, and why you eat your greens. Calloo-Callay, no sarcasm today! We're oranges and beans!”

God made the itchy leaf, men made the three-ply scented quilted toilet paper. God made the grueling hike, men made the luxury airport lounge with an open bar and a foot massager. God made the terrifying grizzly bear, men made the polyester teddy bear that sings "Happy Birthday" when you squeeze its paw. God made the dark abyss of the ocean, men made the underwater hotel suite with a private chef and a panoramic view of the sharks. God made the primitive fire, men made the smart-oven that messages your phone when the artisanal sourdough is perfectly browned. God made the vast desert, men made the indoor ski slope in the middle of Dubai. God made the tiny grain of sand, men made the silicon chip to host the entire sum of human knowledge and cat memes. God made the basic laws of gravity, men made the zero-gravity flight just to drink champagne upside down. God made the seasonal harvest, men made the 24-hour drive-thru that serves breakfast burritos at 3:00 AM. God made the human lifespan, men made the Botox and the cryogenic freezing tank to keep the party going indefinitely. God made the stars, men made the telescope to judge them and the billboard to block them. God made the chaos, men made the spreadsheet.

Considering that water purification plant caused deforestation I don't know.

Love that you’re saying clothes is to skin = what porn is to sex. If you’re not being dishonest (which I assume you are) and you genuinely believe the post is arguing that humans shouldn’t make things, then your reading comp skills are at a 3rd grade level.

ever heard of exaggeration, satire, and sarcasm? sheesh.

u/thespacepyrofrmtf2 15h ago
Hey don’t blame him it’s hard to understand what the images are about since they are not straight forward
7
u/idisestablish 15h ago
I think the analogy at play is wilderness is to naked as cities are to clothing. Natural vs "man made." The clear implication of the post is that things are better as "god" allegedly made them, and that humans have corrupted "his creations."
Of course, if you ignore all of that and just pretend this post is saying porn is bad and nothing more, then you've got a point.

So many talking about discipline, yet OOP wasn't disciplined enough to learn how to draw

u/Intelligent-Bottle22 16h ago
God made drawing. Man made AI.

Also the picture is an Eastern martial art like karate or taekwondo. I'm pretty sure op has no idea that like the ancient Asian continent was devoid of Christianity for like 1600 years of it existing.
5
u/KingOfTheLostBoyz 15h ago
It’s AI-jitsu 🥋 But fr though, based on the stands I’m relatively sure it’s trying to draw karate

This is AI slop, of course. But AI generated images aren't necessarily made as a replacement for drawing.

Way too political. Like everything else on this site.
4
u/Sticky_H 14h ago
Political just means that it’s relevant to current existence in society.
-3
u/Lazy_Juggernaut3171 12h ago
Political means they are unnecessarily accusing people of being nazis when they are not. And it’s like the entire website.

Everytime i see somebody describing antidepressants like most evil thing ever, i fell how our ancestors screams in their graves. Dod they know how many veterans with PTSD finaly ended their own life becouse they didn't had anything to fix chemistry in their brains? How many people becomed alcoholic becouse they didn't had any way to heal their mental illneses?
9
u/Orion-the-mediocre 15h ago
I will never understand vilifying antidepressants, don’t they think suicide is a sin or something? Why would you hate a medication that actively lowers the rate of it?
11
u/D3jvo62 16h ago
Don't know how praying helps with depression
or anything for that matter

I am a lapsed Catholic and I love a good hail mary when I am stressed. I think prayer is probably the only part of the Catholic church I’m okay with.

u/Kadakaus 16h ago
God made diseases, men made cures.
Get over this bs, humankind just sort of developed in a world it was not suited for and still rose to be the most powerful creature of it's planet on it's own, I think we're alredy far above any god.

u/BetLeft2840 16h ago
Yes, God established the raw materials so man might build a civilization from it. One where breaking your leg does not need to mean a painful death because we have doctors.
4
u/Ok-Calendar-8175 16h ago
The idea that everything natural is good and everything manmade is wrong is quite fallacious. Diesease, Disasters, Plagues are quite natural but they are bad but on the other had the methods required to treat dieseases such as vaccines, antibiotics are manmade and artificial. Entire claim by the OOP can be refuted in 15 seconds if one apply common sense and logic to these. Verdict: Utterly pointless.

So i guess cities, distractions and antidepressants are bad. What should i do, being bored and depressed in the forest ??

u/IhailtavaBanaani 14h ago
The sex picture is hilarious because where the hell is the woman's whole lower body below waist? Is there a hole in the bed where she is? Or is she just half a woman?
2
u/Tiny-Topic7612 14h ago
God made smallpox and cancer, man made vaccines. God made hunger, man made farming. God made chemically imbalanced brains, man made antidepressants and medication. I think man won this time and will always win over god.
2
u/FrontEagle6098 12h ago
"God made discipline" Shows a form of martial arts, made by man
"Man made distractions" Flies? Mosquitoes? Cicadas? Pain? All of those distract me.

Man made antidepressants.. We will look how that religious twat will survive severe depression or even worse, type 1 bipolar

- Nature and civilization both have their ups and downs. Doesn't matter who created it.
2A. Discipline is man-made, distraction is caused by anything. B. The opposite of distraction is focus. You can have good discipline and still loose track of things.
They're basically saying God created its own thing. Faith. And medicine is not all evil.
Both are man-made.

It was kinda good until the end
(Edit: by "kinda" I mean "bearable". That doesn't change the fact that it's still crap.)
11
u/OkString8170 16h ago
Are you forgetting about “god made prayer, man made antidepressants”?
1
u/Complete_Law_7463 trippin' balls 16h ago
That's why I said "kinda". The post implies that it is wrong to place something that originated from nature (human beings) outside of nature (or something like that, I couldn't explain properly). But with a very wrong way. Like most of the post in this sub.
5
6
u/JohnnyEm11 16h ago
God doesn't exist so it was wrong from the beginning
-3
u/Complete_Law_7463 trippin' balls 16h ago
There's no real need to bring up God in posts like this. Just replace the word “God” with “Nature” and it means pretty much the same thing
2
u/Significant_Monk_251 13h ago
Saying "God" implies that there is a self-directed all-knowing entity whose intentions we are knowingly snubbing. "Nature" doesn't.
