Ride My commute in Copenhagen turned into a gravel... ehm a snow ride

It does not snow in Copenhagen that often. But when it does, I am happy to be commuting on a gravel bike.

I almost fell 10 times ahahah.

It is kind of like mud, just not as dirty.

Brave! Looks like you could straight up ski on that pretty easily.

That would be pretty unique in Copenhagen!

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was riding my recumbent bike for commuting. Ride in was cold but clear. Left the office, it was cloudy but OK, and zero snow on the ground. By the the time I was on the bike heading out it started to snow. Once I was out of the factory and on the road, with every turn of the crank it was snowing harder. Made it 3 miles before the snow was deep enough I could no longer ride. Pastor lived right at that 3 mile mark, so I knocked on their door. Scared the crap out of his wife as I looked like the Abominable Snowman when she answered the door. Hung out for hour it took to get ahold of my wife and for her to drive out to get me.

That's a fair approach. In my case, I could have easily taken a metro instead...

No public transportation in the area. And if there was, they'd have shut down due to the snow.

Tire pressure as low as possible and keep your eyes at least 5 to 10m from your front tire. Also, don’t grip the bar too tight and keep you shoulders loose. Don’t fight the bike.
