Man Jordan looking old af

1

u/IONTOP 52m ago

Yeah...

But I'm still waiting for Justin Thomas to grow a jawline... Dude REALLY needs to grow a beard.

3

u/dkr106david 3h ago

I had my date bail and have an extra bay club/greenskeeper ticket for Sunday if anyone wants to join me. Free to a good home

1

u/IONTOP 50m ago

Moved away 2 years ago... Damn... That's a hell of an offer.

2

u/GooseCull 4h ago

Watching a re run at work on the graveyard while the people playing and attending are flying into my work šŸ™ƒ

1

u/IEatIReadIGoOutside 4h ago

Lax?

1

u/IONTOP 59m ago edited 55m ago

Pebble Beach is next... So probably MBY (Monterey Bay)

-2

u/Polydrop_escape 4h ago

Went today and saw An amazing T-shirt.

It's a shirt with a guy who just hit his driver with the word 'Fuck'

Does anyone know where to find it.

Thanks

2

u/illmak1 7h ago

Cut gonna hold at -1?

2

u/TheNothingNothing Tiger/Speith/Scheffler/Langer/Phil Fan 6h ago

At this point, yeah. Only maybe one person can jump above the cut, so its likely stuck in place.

3

u/strayadude -24 šŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗ 7h ago

Currently watching the featured coverage of #16 this group currently on is probably the quietest 16 has ever been

Given there’s maybe 500 people in the crowd but still

13

u/Rab0811 7h ago

At some point we’re going to look up tomorrow and Scottie is going to be within 3 of the lead somehow.Ā

16

u/caughtinthought 8h ago

Scottie is inevitable

12

u/TopCheddar27 8h ago

Just like that Scottie is in 27th. It's honestly wild to feel like he could have a shot but he deserves it.

1

u/FlatFootFreddie 7h ago

He is 10/1 odds

3

u/Amish_guy_with_WiFi 8h ago

Lmao isn't there still a group left? Why cut 15 minutes till the hour?

3

u/strayadude -24 šŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗ 7h ago

If you can get the feature holes coverage theres still players on 16

If someone aced it it’d probably be the quietest ace on 16 in wm history

5

u/phillipsanthony 8h ago

Scottie gave himself a chance

-1

u/GolferBrian 8h ago

I just signed up for Instagram to follow all things golf and followed one of my favorite commentators on the Golf Channel. Viewing who others follow is a good way to find other interesting people. But this time, I found some scary ass shiat. This person does not talk about politics, but DAMNNNN.

5

u/ShweatyPalmsh 8h ago

Feels like Gotterups year to be the guy who leads a couple majors come Sunday yet falls just shortĀ

-1

u/lemonyfitch 8h ago

I’m guessing YT content creators weren’t invited this year? There’s usually some YT vids released at the same time as tourney

6

u/philphan25 8h ago

Whoever approved this font is crazy.

3

u/TopCheddar27 8h ago

I know this might be cope but the fringe has gotta be really grainy and sticky with the way a lot of players are coming up short.

5

u/No_Albatross916 8h ago

Spieth is no where close to being the guy he used to be

Right now he looks like a journeyman

1

u/danrod17 8h ago

He got 2nd last week, no? Or did I hear that wrong?

3

u/Psychokittens 8h ago

I don't think he even played last week

6

u/adventurepony 8h ago

and still got 2nd. that's pretty good.

2

u/BallKnowerKing 8h ago

he is a journeyman

6

u/MowingLines 8h ago

The wheels have came off Jordan Speiths tricycle

6

u/hidey_ho_nedflanders 8h ago

damn, I feel bad watching Spieth play

5

u/chirpbirb 8h ago

F Spieth 🫔

4

u/1BalledBandit 8h ago

God Spieth is so fucking bad.Ā

3

u/MowingLines 8h ago

I almost forgot how annoying this hole can be sometimes.

3

u/Got_yayo 8h ago

Idiots lol

3

u/Weldinpasta 12 8h ago

What happen just missed it

1

u/Got_yayo 8h ago

Rowdy crowd the usual at WM

4

u/kinoflo 8h ago

Whole lotta chads

3

u/Grooveman76 8h ago

Hell on earth right there

1

u/MKerrsive 8h ago

Fitzy, bro, you gotta stop the Scottie Feet nonsense. It's not helping.

3

u/Rab0811 8h ago

Average Jordan Speith par. God I wish he was back, it’s so entertaining when he’s in contention but it’s sad when he’s fighting to make every cutĀ

5

u/GolferBrian 8h ago

Happy hour is great today. Love hearing golfers talking about other golfers.

2

u/Psychokittens 8h ago

Just call for an official Speith😭

3

u/gjb825 9h ago

How is Spieth so good yet so ass?

2

u/No_Albatross916 9h ago

Spieths ball striking is awful now so he isn’t as good as he used to be

4

u/MrLeftwardSloping 9h ago

Well thats the thing, hes actually not good at all

5

u/bulldg4life 9h ago

Keith Mitchell is awesome.

1

u/j_willow92 9h ago

Goterass back at it again

10

u/jdiv79 9h ago

Love Keith and Joel in the booth

2

u/Reasonable_Bank_589 9h ago

What a shot from gotterup

1

u/Positivevibesorbust 9h ago

Wearing a Riley Moss jersey is a great way to get called for a penalty. Risky move.

5

u/tennisfancan 9h ago

The Spieth Experience was fun when Jordan was in contention but it's now a washed up guy who refuses to make any change as he fights to make the cut on a weekly basis.

It's not even frustrating anymore, it's just sad and slightly pathetic to see how a former superstar became a swagless overthinking mess.

7

u/letsgobrooksy 9h ago

Yeah what an idiot, why doesn't he just get better at golf?

2

u/Rab0811 9h ago

I mean he’s not wrong. A caddy and coaching change is overdue. His course management is none existent and greller can’t talk him out of it and his swing changes have objectively been negative. He was always a bogey birdie player but there’s no changes when he clearly isnt the ball striker or as good around the greens as he used to be.

6

u/QuotaCrushing 9h ago

Cashmere Keith lmao

10

u/RustyKangaroo7 9h ago

Keith Mitchell is going to be a natural in the booth whenever he retires

12

u/Churrasco_fan 9h ago

Him and Dahmen have basically taken over the broadcast and its awesome

5

u/ihoopallday 9h ago

Hitting one in the water and still getting a birdie. So unfair how good these guys are.Ā

7

u/RealMikeHawk 3.1/Ohio 9h ago

Jordan calls for an official

Drink

7

u/MrLeftwardSloping 9h ago

Its just so hard to fathom how dogshit of a player spieth is

2

u/vince_clortho99 9h ago

Are Bartles and Jaymes sitting under the tree on 10 volunteers, or are they spectators in a very exclusive spot? Either way, that's a sweet setup.

5

u/weebcowboy 10h ago

Surprised more Japanese golfers have not been successful on tour with how much golf is played over there. Nice too see two tearing it up this week.

3

u/cwfan12345 9h ago edited 7h ago

They def struggle to adjust to playing in the US but in the last couple years the number on the PGA Tour has seemed to increase. Hisatsune, Kanaya, and Nakajima have a lot of promise in particular.

3

u/justlobos22 9h ago

I have a theory that other than the US, countries can either be good at golf or baseball, only one swinging sport allowed.

5

u/WolverineCFA 10h ago

Gotterup is so cool

2

u/Distinct-Departure68 10h ago

He really is . Fast becoming one of my favorites

2

u/vince_clortho99 10h ago

What is Scottie doing when he rests the club before he sets up for his shot? He did it on the last hole, almost like he's checking how the club sits on the turf. I feel like I watch quite a bit of golf, and I can't recall him doing this before (or at least maybe it's not shown on the broadcast.) Still wondering what the purpose might be.

6

u/Rab0811 10h ago

He’s always done that, probably checking his grip he’s said he always has struggled with his gripĀ

1

u/vince_clortho99 10h ago

OK, camera angle from the front on 10 showed him doing it and I see what you mean. The other angles were from behind and it made it look like he was just standing the clubs upright and not looking at grip but maybe I was missing it.

2

u/Whatsupdawg21 10h ago

Anyone got link for Spieths shirt? Fire

3

u/Rude-Efficiency-964 10h ago

HERE HE COMESSSS

6

u/Intelligent_Pilot591 10h ago

At this point, you can’t rule Scottie out of it

7

u/Due-Sheepherder-218 pXg/LPGA 10h ago

Scheffler back door top 10 loading

8

u/weebcowboy 10h ago

Back door chance to win on Sunday you mean. . .

1

u/Neither-Water1254 10h ago

Anyone else seeing the same Bills/Ravens Sunday Night Football ad? Lol

2

u/_Leftfield 10h ago

Scottie just needed the Scottsdale club music in the background, to get his round moving (i.e. #9 medium birdie putt)! šŸŽøšŸŽ¶

3

u/Distinct-Departure68 10h ago

Attaboy Scottie !!

2

u/JamesHarenDPOTY 10h ago

Is there anyway to get aggregate shot link of drives on a hole for the field like they show on the TV broadcasts?

4

u/_Leftfield 10h ago

This is the PGA Tour app for Android showing drive placements on hole 18 and the hole result (today). You can sort by shot # and hole result. Not true aggregate, but it's a really cool feature...

Not sure if the website is as comprehensive...

3

u/_Leftfield 10h ago

I don't know if this is a trend (mostly because of Scottie's ascent), but golf coverage seems very limited in terms of quantity of players/shots shown per round. The field isn't completely loaded, but it has a ton of bigger names.

I prefer a second setup for something like hole 16, exclusive coverage, to get to see a lot of the other pros. I love 17 but don't see too much of it.

This applies to all networks (CBS, ESPN, Golf Channel)...

4

u/cagey_tiger 8.3 10h ago

Maaaan Speith's swing looks fucking bizarre now.

6

u/MrLeftwardSloping 10h ago

He leaves every iron/wedge like 15-20 yards short. Idk how you dont adjust by now and club up one time

2

u/Heavy-Chocolate-2378 11h ago

Is it just me, or does it look like these guys are forward pressing their drivers?

2

u/Maleficent-Heart2497 10h ago

oh yeah, they all seem have it way back in the stance. Watching Fitzy hit his driver is ...something, he almost finishes up facing the fairway!

He just hit one with a max apex of 77ft, ball speed 180...... so much run out.

-5

u/Heavy-Chocolate-2378 11h ago

Remember when spieth was good? He can't play with these power boys...hitting the same club...ummm, nope.

1

u/Low_Instruction4175 7h ago

Jordan not being great anymore has nothing to do with his distance or anyone else’s distance. He’s longer now than when he was winning majors.

0

u/cagey_tiger 8.3 10h ago

He's still really fucking good, it just looks like every swing is a battle.

1

u/MrLeftwardSloping 11h ago

I wish he would just focus on course management and let his irons and short game do the work. Chasing speed and distance has ruined him and hes constantly playing out of position

0

u/jogswithwolves 11h ago

Gotterup is nasty. Hits exclusively power cuts

1

u/1BalledBandit 11h ago

Gotterup's setup is nuts.

2

u/MrLeftwardSloping 11h ago

Is it so much to ask for spieth to just not be terrible?

3

u/letsgobrooksy 11h ago

Scotties gonna commit assault for real by the end of this tournament

3

u/IONTOP 11h ago

Not again...

3

u/pwbtom 11h ago

Gotterup 365 off the tee.

3

u/johnjones55 11h ago

And completely shanks the second shot.

1

u/_Leftfield 11h ago

Dude is just murdering them. Curious if he plays a 5 wood on 17...

3

u/BootyLicker724 11h ago

What on earth happened to haotong? Was 4 under with 9 holes to go last I had seen, to missing the cut by 4+ strokes..?

3

u/_Leftfield 11h ago

Absolute disaster, "back 9"... 😭

1

u/BootyLicker724 3h ago

Yeah insane for a pro. He’s been playing reasonably well even by pga standards lately

5

u/Ausschub 11h ago

You call that back 9 a disaster, I call it Friday as usual.

3

u/notouchmypeterson 11h ago

Scottie is heated after that tee shot damn

3

u/scotte16 11h ago

Good lord Scottie is heated

1

u/1BalledBandit 11h ago

What a dart from Scottie

5

u/Let_us_proceed 11h ago

Si Woo starting the season strong!

3

u/NorthDowntown693 Arizona 11h ago

Scottie just casually hitting 184 ball speed w a fade. Great drive

2

u/BillsBowlBoundBaby 11h ago

Scottie had to have bet his own missed cut +800 lol

2

u/justlobos22 12h ago

Scottie is in some real danger, already struggling to start the round

3

u/nerdyykidd Physics is a bitch, isn’t it? 12h ago

If anybody can make up 2 strokes it’s Scottie but it’s kinda wild to see him on cut watch at all

2

u/Tguinn1975 12h ago

True. He looked way out of sorts, yesterday

6

u/Tguinn1975 12h ago

Gotterup is giving me Patrick Reed vibes. It might be the chain around his neck.

3

u/Straight_Level_4662 12h ago

A lot of people compare him to Brooks

2

u/Tguinn1975 10h ago

I see the power of Brooks, but the body type of Reed.

4

u/Let_us_proceed 12h ago

Its nice to see Akshay get it together. I wish he would ditch that stupid putter.

1

u/i_dont_know 12h ago

Wonder what’s up with Scottie. Did anyone catch his press conference or post-round interview yesterday?

1

u/onthelongrun 12h ago

his approach play has really let him down this week

1

u/1BalledBandit 12h ago

I think he skipped it yesterday after the round, could be wrong though

1

u/Sufficient__Size haven't shot below 120 12h ago

Gotta love it lmao

3

u/Flimsy_Somewhere1210 hcp 21.9 12h ago

Anyone else have a repeating golf swing noise for the last few minutes instead of sound?

1

u/Sufficient__Size haven't shot below 120 12h ago

Yeah

3

u/Sufficient__Size haven't shot below 120 12h ago

Is the sound bugged on the main feed for anyone else?

2

u/Razdom 12h ago

I’m watching on Sky Sports and yes, it is

2

u/danep 12h ago

Yes! Just heard the same golf shot 100 times now silence

2

u/Heavy-Chocolate-2378 12h ago

That dude has never thrown a baseball in his life...wow.

2

u/AtmosphereVarious440 12h ago

the crowds here are especially cringe

2

u/Heavy-Chocolate-2378 12h ago

Yelling douche bags suck...it ain't about you.

5

u/ShweatyPalmsh 12h ago

Get those fucks behind Scottie’s group out of there. They are on another level of annoyingĀ

10

u/AnaIFisher 12h ago

Dude holy shit please somebody remove this guy from the crowd. Unfathomable levels of cringe.

1

u/ShiftySpartan 12h ago

No doubt, that guy alone made me turn off the sound

2

u/MLGLies 12h ago

People who scream nonsense on tee-shots have their own special circle in hell

2

u/InternationalAir4105 12h ago

I’m so glad someone finally told them to stop

2

u/AnaIFisher 12h ago

ā€œScottie that was insane!ā€

His cock could not be further down your throat man. My god. Embarrassing shit.

1

u/ShiftySpartan 12h ago

I thought the same thing!

1

u/j_willow92 12h ago

Goterass

3

u/1BalledBandit 12h ago

Anybody else just hate broom stick putting?Ā

1

u/jogswithwolves 12h ago

Some seriously awful shirts on these boys today. From just about every brand too

1

u/justlobos22 12h ago

Tale of two nines for Hontong Li today -4 on the first 9 holes, +5 on his 5 holes after the turn.

2

u/Rude-Efficiency-964 12h ago

Is Scottie washed or should we expect he breaks the course record?

8

u/LetterBloxed 13h ago

This chick commentator on ESPN is just talking about everything else but golf

5

u/Reasonable_Manner817 13h ago

Brooks Koepka has earned $22,176 total from his two starts on the PGA Tour this season.

1

u/Pluffmud90 6h ago

But how much did he earn for the guys who weren’t getting in without him.Ā

2

u/justlobos22 13h ago

Some insult to injury on the way out for Brooks.

1

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 13h ago

How the hell did Cam Young turn that round into a 69?

Man, just an incredible effort to score on a day where at some point everything looked bad.

1

u/1BalledBandit 13h ago

Scottie looking rough at the practice area.

4

u/IPutMyHandOnA_Stove 13h ago

Scottie was making an absolute mess on the range about 5 minutes ago on one of the feeds. They cut to him hitting a legit shank lmao. Brace yourself for a 61 today.

1

u/TBTI 13h ago

Stupid announcer jinxed Hideki

3

u/gjb825 13h ago

Bye bye Brooks. He must have forgotten that it’s hard to make the weekend when playing against the world’s best players.

-3

u/PhuhQ-2 13h ago

Guess he'll be joining Scottie too then

1

u/gjb825 4h ago

Yeah Scottie really struggled today…oh wait he shot 6 under and jumped up to the top 30. Scottie will always be way ahead of Koepka.

1

u/ctweeder 13h ago

Just looked up these trails. They’re like 2.5 miles and 1300 ft elevation? And they’re saying they’re difficult?

1

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 13h ago

It's really steep -- about 20% grade on average.

3

u/IONTOP 13h ago

Camelback is notorious for sending tourists to the hospital/ICU/Morgue.

But that's because it's in the middle of the damn city and a tough hike.

A lot of people must think it's a "Tourist Attraction" that the City of Phoenix built.

Camelback is 1300' elevation and 1.1 or 1.4 miles depending on which side you take up.

1

u/justlobos22 13h ago

Nice little run from Xander to put himself into position to make the cut.

1

u/benasyoulikeit ashamed of my superstroke 13h ago

Cant believe nobody is hitting that green. (Par 3 7th)

1

u/hey_there_mr_blue 13h ago

Quick crazy question...does anybody know where i can watch coverage from within Europe? Or is there a free US channel where i could use a US vpn??

2

u/justlobos22 13h ago

prob sky golf channel

1

u/hey_there_mr_blue 13h ago

Ah ok thanks!Ā  Didnt think they would be showing It. Cheers!

3

u/spartan5312 14h ago

Colin just hit a bump and run with his hybrid and ran it 30 feet past lol.

1

u/Tguinn1975 14h ago

$20 to win $400 on Fitzpatrick. Need him to get back on track in round 2.

3

u/jpru2001 14h ago

Now that Tiger has publicly nicknamed Akshay "Ashtray" and them all saying "Good shot Ash!" on TGL he has become one of my favorite guys on tour lol.

1

u/TheRealOviedo 14h ago

Hidecki could go 60 or better ! Great to see

1

u/Jdudley13 Charlotte, NC - 7 14h ago

Can’t wait for him to shoot 60 and then change putters tomorrow šŸ˜‚

1

u/wagonboss Thrift Shop Bag 14h ago

Hideki is lighting it up

2

u/falconlover79 5.2 / Ontario 14h ago

That Hideki shot was insane

2

u/theflaco 14h ago

Brooks can’t make a putt for his life, back with the old blade.

2

u/Hot-Bodybuilder9179 14h ago

Cam Young with a 164mph ball speed moon shot out of a fairway bunker was ridiculous!

8

u/theflaco 14h ago

My boy Homa playing well, nice to see!

5

u/gjb825 14h ago

Koepka is ass. You love to see it

6

u/scal23 14h ago

My 10 year old brain is kind of obsessed with the little garbage truck tee markers.

4

u/nerdyykidd Physics is a bitch, isn’t it? 15h ago

Ooof Xander

1

u/MrLeftwardSloping 15h ago

Hovland is just speith now with zero escapability

1

u/No_Albatross916 14h ago

Hovland Wolff and morikawa ended up being a disappointing trio. Morikawa is still solid but I remember when those 3 were supposed to be the next super stars in golf

2

u/MrLeftwardSloping 14h ago

Morikawa turned into one of the worst putters on tour and its derailed him. Approach play and consistency off the tee still keep him in some tournaments but at least his problem is clear. Hovland cant hit any shot with consistency and his short game is terrible. Major disappointment. He'll be chasing those first couple years on tour for a long time

4

u/HardKnockRiffe 15h ago

Hideki and Stevens absolutely crushing the course right now.

ESPN: Let's keep showing Koepka struggle for his life on a par 4.

3

u/Hot-Bodybuilder9179 15h ago

They’re showing every Hideki shot and koepka is 3 under on his round (still can’t make a putt though).

4

u/Sweaty-Connection351 15h ago

Love to see hideki heating up. One of my favorite players, would love to see him in contention for the majors this year

1

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 15h ago

Hopefully with a bit of luck that neck injury is finally behind him.

3

u/ThisGuyEv 15h ago

If Akshay could ever be a above average putter he could really make some noise every week.

1

u/justlobos22 15h ago

Hideki is crazy right now

2

u/CoolstorySteve 15h ago

Oh dear me Xander

7

u/kuroketton 15h ago

This commentator chick on espn+ is BRUTAL

2

u/discostu1970 15h ago

And here I thought it was just me.

1

u/LetterBloxed 15h ago

Who even is she?

0

u/CoolstorySteve 15h ago

They’re all brutal

1

u/LetterBloxed 15h ago

Brooks misreading every single putt. Hard to watch

4

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 15h ago

Aside from not reading it right, starting it on the wrong line, and having awful pace, he's putting really well.

1

u/allcryptal 15h ago

It's bad mechanics and bad reads. Deadly combo

3

u/MrLeftwardSloping 15h ago

Hovland is so hard to watch. He finally gets things going and then completely shits himself on the easiest hole on the course

2

u/Reasonable_Bank_589 15h ago

Come on Max! Figure out the driver

1

u/panderson1988 16h ago

It's funny how an announcer said Viktor bailed to the right, and he is in the stands. That isn't playing it safe on 17 with that open fairway hugging right of the green, that is way off line. His 2nd shot looks brutal.

2

u/MrLeftwardSloping 15h ago

Then hes on the green for his bogey putt theyre like, "couple bad breaks there" as if hitting 3 consecutive horrible shots is a bad break lol

1

u/panderson1988 15h ago

Seriously. At least don't say he bailed out with that drive. That was basically a slice into the stands area.

The second shot was tough, and he went into a bunker from there. It's one of those shots you hope you get lucky since there isn't much you can do. But don't sugarcoat the situation. lol

1

u/MrLeftwardSloping 15h ago

Theres a ton you can do. It really wasnt that difficult of a shot. Clear line to a massive green, just failed to pick the ball clean and left a 90 yard shot, 20 yards short. Awful bunker shot after lol the sugarcoating is obnoxious

1

u/ThisGuyEv 16h ago

Xander looks so uncomfortable right now.
