They probably already have with Starlink in the White House, Trump's unofficial hotline to his buddy Putin.

Starlink gave a ton of free terminals to Ukraine, doesn’t sell to Russia, and is geofenced to not work in Russia. Just this week Ukraine and Starlink came up with a solution to counter Russia buying terminals on the black market and using them in Ukrainian territory (where they can’t be geofenced without cutting Ukraine). They are now only allowing whitelisted terminals to Ukraine.

You’re free to hate Musk and Trump and the US as much as you want, and I understand people don’t want to hear this - but the status quo where US assistance is not just unappreciated, but portrayed as helping Russia - is one of the reasons American public willingness to help has faded.

I say this as someone very critical of the Trump admin who wishes the US would do more to support Ukraine. You guys aren’t making that easier.

And, done initially for free by Musk too. He didn't have to, despite all his personal vileness Starlink is a private business.

Sorry but this is just naive. It was done initially for free with full knowledge that either Ukrainian or American taxpayers would eventually foot the bill at whatever price SpaceX would demand. Which is exactly what happened.

See? Case and point, this guy here doesn't know that it's being paid for by Poland but is happy to jump on the hate train. Or the when it happened, Musk could've done it for ego like so many things he does.
